Chicago Med has been telling fast-paced, emotional, and memorable stories about the staff at a major hospital since 2015, and now that the season 10 finale is almost here, several storylines will likely be resolved. Season finales are often bittersweet as fans don't want to say goodbye to their favorite characters for an entire summer, but they're also excited to see shocking cliffhangers and watch the drama unfold.

Fans can look forward to seeing familiar characters in Chicago Med season 10, episode 22, and based on the episode description and promo, many major characters are in tough positions. From Dr. Daniel Charles (Oliver Platt) dealing with a hospitalized family member to Sharon Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson) balancing personal and professional problems, a lot is going on in the Chicago Med season 10 finale. So, when does it air, and where can fans watch it?

How To Watch Chicago Med Season 10, Episode 22, "...Don't You Cry"

Sharon Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson) and Dr. Caitlin Lenox (Sarah Ramos) on Chicago Med

Chicago Med season 10, episode 22, "...Don't You Cry" will air on NBC on Wednesday, May 21st, 2025 at 8 p.m. E.T. The episode will be available to stream the next day, Thursday, May 22nd, 2025 on Peacock.

The official episode description reads:

"Goodwin is tasked with enforcing difficult cuts to hospital personnel; Charles' daughter is hospitalized after a car accident; a transplant patient makes a life-changing decision."

The next episode will do what Chicago Med does best: balance the doctors' tough and always-changing personal lives while ensuring that their jobs at Gaffney Chicago Medical Center are never easy. Chicago Med season 10, episode 21, "Baby Mine..." Brought back Dr. Charles's two daughters Robin (Mekia Cox) and Anna (Hannah Riley), and Anna will become a patient in the next episode. The season 10 finale will also be about the tough choices Goodwin has to make about the hospital's staff. Several episodes ago, the nurses went on strike, which affected Goodwin's friendship with Maggie Lockwood (Marlyne Barrett). It's easy to imagine that they will continue to grow further apart, which will be sad.

It sounds like the Chicago Med season 10 finale will also pick up where the previous episode left off and provide some resolution to the most shocking and upsetting storyline: billionaire Griffin Lancer (Tim DeKay) stealing a lung meant for a child with cystic fibrosis named Noah. Walter (Sam Trammell) shows up at the hospital with a gun, which could lead to a cliffhanger ending. This storyline is a reminder that the popular hospital drama doesn't shy away from emotional and high-stakes moments that can be tough to watch.

Based on the brief promo for the next episode, Goodwin has to deal with another problem: her relationship. In season 10, episode 19, "The Stories We Tell Ourselves," she was hurt when her partner, Dennis Washington (John Earl Jelks), didn't tell his daughter about her, and now, he's apologizing for what happened. Between that conflict and her job, Goodwin has a lot on her plate. It often feels like the characters who work at Gaffney face one roadblock after another, and that's definitely the case for Goodwin, who survived a stalker earlier this season only to be forced to handle even more challenges.

The Chicago Med season 10 finale will also likely share the big health news that Dr. Hannah Asher (Jessy Schram) got at the end of the last episode. It would be frustrating not to find out what she was told, and while this storyline probably won't be wrapped up quickly, viewers should at least hear what challenge Asher is facing. This is a particularly emotional plotline since she wanted to become a surrogate for her sister, and now those hopes have been dashed.

Will There Be A Chicago Med Season 11?

Sharon Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson) and Dr. Daniel Charles (Oliver Platt) on Chicago Med

In early May 2025, Deadline reported that NBC renewed all three One Chicago shows: Chicago P.D., Chicago Med, and Chicago Fire. Chicago Med season 10 and Chicago P.D. Season 12 have been equally dramatic, and after seeing the strong storylines in both seasons, fans are excited to see more of these popular characters.

Since there are so many medical cases that could be explored and so many potential personal conflicts between the doctors and nurses, it's easy to imagine Chicago Med continuing for several more seasons. However, when Chicago Med season 11 premieres, some characters might not return, which raises the stakes even more for the Chicago Med season 10 finale.
