One of the features that makes Civilization 7 stand out is how customizable each Leader can be. Gamers can pick whichever Civilization they'd like for their Leader and even equip unique perks called Mementos. Each Memento grants the Leader who chose it an ability that can provide a significant advantage in-game if used right.

Civilization 7: How to Get Napoleon for Free

Players can follow this guide to ensure they get access to two Napoleon personas in Civilization 7.

This guide will show players how Mementos work in Civilization 7, including how to unlock their slots and gain access to all 97 Mementos. While it may sound confusing at first, players will surely get the hang of it as soon as they gain access to their first Memento slot.

How to Unlock and Use Mementos in Civilization 7

As players will notice when picking a Leader before starting a Civ 7 game, each Leader has two Mementos slots. To use Mementos in Civilization 7, gamers must first unlock these slots so they can place a Memento that matches the strategy they want to go for.

Players will unlock the first Memento when they reach Level 2 on the Foundation Path. The second slot becomes available once they reach Level 5. To increase their Foundation Path Level, players must complete the Foundation Challenges. In total, there are 265 Foundation Challenges, and XP will be granted according to each challenge's difficulty level.

The Foundation Path and each Leader have their own set of challenges and rewards. Gamers must level up Leaders and the Foundation Path in order to unlock and get access to unique Mementos as well as other fun rewards, such as customization options for their Civilization 7 profile banner.
