The Corpeso weapon for Gustave/Verso in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 can actually carry a lot of players through Act 3 (and the post-game) if they play their cards right and use the weapon's effects to their full extent. It's best used with the Burn ailment, as you can use the first skill unlock to apply extra Burn to enemies and later on, increase total Burn damage by 50% at the start, and then go up to 300% on Rank S. It's a total game-changer.

In this Expedition 33 guide, we'll explain where to find the Corpeso weapon and some of the best Pictos to use with it. Let's get into it!

When Can You Get the Corpeso Weapon in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33?

Don't Go Unprepared

You can get to the Dark Shores area (where the Corpeso weapon is located) once you acquire Esquie and his ability to swim. You will meet the wine-filled creature towards the second half of Act 1, and then you will get his swimming powers at the end of Act 1 after beating the Lampmaster boss.

However, the enemies in Dark Shores aren't going to go down easily. It's recommended that you probably shouldn't visit the location until you actually start Act 3 or can do over 9999 damage. You will get the Painted Power Pictos at the end of Act 2, which will let you go past the damage cap.

Corpeso Weapon Location in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

Dark Shores

Once you get Esquie's swimming ability, you can access Dark Shores, but you might not be strong enough if you're just in Act 2. Still, you can try it out and see if you can manage. To get there, you can head east towards the water from the exit of Spring Meadows with Esquie and then just hug the right wall until you see a bunch of crashed boats.

The path will lead you to the entrance of Dark Shores, and once you walk in, you'll see a pair of hooded monsters ready to battle. These are called Noire and will drop the Corpeso weapon after you defeat them.
