At the heart of the Ancient Sanctuary, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 lets players explore a bustling city built entirely by the Gestrals. Simply called the Gestral Village, the area is filled with secret quests, unique weapons, cosmetics, and a couple of quirky merchants ready to sell you items that you'll want on your journey.
Although the village itself isn't huge, it's dense with content that's easy to overlook. Since almost every NPC is can be interacted with and objective markers are non-existent, it can be confusing to figure out where to go and who to talk to. In this guide, we'll list all the items, collectibles, and hidden quests you can find in the Gestral Village of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
Clair Obscur Expedition 33 - Gestral Village 100% Exploration

Jujubree shouldn't be a tough encounter forplayers at this point Clair Obscur: Expedition 33's story. Defeating the NPC rewards you with the
Demonam weapon for Gustave or Verso.
If you have the Weird Pictos picked up from the Prologue, this merchant will convert it into the
Augmented Aim Pictos.
Berrami - Gestral Bazaar
Moving past Jujbree, you'll find a white Gestral named Berrami sitting behind a desk made of statues. Talk to him, and he'll ask to see the Expedition Journals you've collected. Collecting enough Expedition Journals and delivering them to Berrami rewards players with
Colour of Lumina.
Eseda - Gestral Bazaar
Next to Berrami, there's a Shady Gestral who asks you to head down an alley. Once you head inside, you're ambushed by Eseda. Similar to the fight against Jujubree, this isn't a challenging battle. Defeat him to gain access to his wares.

Exit Eseda's shop, take the wooden platform on the side, and keep moving forward, breaking crates along the way. You can pick up 610x Chroma at the end.
Unnamed Gestral - Gestral Bazaar
Exiting the Alley, the big Gestral outside will sell you an item for 1,000 Chroma. Although he hypes it up as the legendary weapon Excalibur, it's, in fact, a quest item called
Wooden Stick. Since 1,000 Chroma isn't a big deal, we recommend picking it up at this point.
Karatom - Blue Mushroom Side Quest
After picking up the
Wooden Stick, walk out of the Gestral Bazaar, and you'll arrive in another large area. On your left, you'll see a couple of Gestrals building a Sakapatate. At the feet of the Sakapatate, you'll find a tiny white Gestral named Karatom. He will ask you to find Blue Mushrooms to help him build the best Sakapatate. Completing this request rewards you with the Pure Outfit for Gustave.
Delsitra - Outside Gestral Bazaar
In the same area as Karatom, you'll find Delsitra nearby, standing between two armed Gestrals. He is carrying a large backpack and will sell you a few cosmetic items for your party members.

The Sakapatate Outfit for Verso is only available once he has joined your party.
Alexsoundro Side Quest
The tall white Gestral near Destria is Alexsoundro, who gives you a small side quest. Talk to him, and he'll ask you to retrieve his Patate, who is sitting on top of the nearby crooked tower. To reach this NPC, head north and take the first right. Then, take a left to go down an alley and use the glowing rope to climb up.
Jump across the wooden platforms, and you'll eventually arrive at the top of the tower. Talk with Purumi, and he'll agree to come down. Talk to Alexsoundro afterward to claim the Skapatate Outfit for Lune.
Colour of Lumina - Gestral Village Entrance
Take the right path from the plaza near the Gestral Village Entrance to find a tall Gestral near a tree. You can find a
Colour of Lumina behind him, hidden in the red bushes.
Victorifo - Chroma
Follow the road past the tall Gestral to find a sleeping Gestral named Victorifo on your left. While you can see a white glowing item behind him, you can't reach it just yet. To wake up Victorifo, shoot at the mirror inside the house. Now you can grab the 1,220x Chroma inside the house. However, as you go to leave, he will attack you. Thankfully, the battle is pretty straightforward and shouldn't be anything you can't handle at this point.
Colour of Lumina - Jousting Area
The path between Delsitra and Alexsoundro leads to a fenced area where you'll see two large Sakapatate locked in a boxing competition. Follow the fence to the right, and you'll see an opening that you can use to get into the arena. Go in to find a
Colour of Lumina near the end of the arena at the location marked in the image above.
Expedition 52 Journal
After picking up the Colour of Lumina, head back to Alexsoundro. There's an Expedition Journal nearby that you can pick up. Head north from Alexsoundro, and you'll see a signboard marked Arena at a distance. Head toward it to find a path on the left of the signpost. Follow the path to pick up the Expedition 52 Journal.
Gestral Arena Rest Point
Once you get the Expedition 52 Journal, follow the path marked Arena to arrive at the Gestral Arena. You'll find an Expedition Flag on your right. You'll have to talk to the yellow-haired Gestral nearby to access the Arena and progress to the main story of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
Ono-Puncho Side Quest
In the same area as the Gestral Arena Rest Point, you'll find another side quest in a ruined house. Head inside the ruined house nearby to come across the NPC Ono-Puncho. Dealing 9,999 damage to him with a single attack gives you the Sakapatate Outfit for Maelle.
Recoat - Gestral Casino
From the Gestral Arena Rest Point, head east and follow the road on the left. Heading past the area with the boxing Gestrals, you'll arrive at the Gestral Casino. You'll find a Recoat on a small set of stairs on the right.
Roulette Pictos - Gestral Casino
Once you have the Recoat, head up to the Gestral Casino building, marked by its neon sign. Interact with the door to talk to the Gestral Gambler. He'll ask you a riddle. Choose the answer "I Don't Care" to unlock a new Pictos to add to your collection called Roulette.
2x Chroma - Theater
After picking up the Roulette Pictos, head out the other exit to reach the Theater area. Head towards the main stage with the Gestral playing a guitar. On the left side of the stage, you'll be able to break some crates to get to the back and loot 1,220x Chroma. Afterward, climb the nearby rope, and at the end of the scaffolding, you'll find another 1,220x Chroma that you can pick up.
Alexyclo - Theater
In the same area, you'll find another Gestral wearing a large backpack. He is called Alexcyclo, and he has only one item for sale. He will sell you the Sakapatate Outfit for Sciel once she has joined your party as part of the main quest.
The Manor Entrance (Shape of Energy, Rebellious Hair)
In the Theater area, you'll find a road with a sign that says "Turn Back." Follow the road to find another entrance to The Manor. There's a puzzle inside The Manor that gives you a
Shape of Energy and a new cosmetic item for Maelle.
To claim the reward, you need to find and interact with three objects inside the Manor's Kitchen. The first is a broken statue, the second one is the middle pan hanging on the wall, and the third one is a candleholder on one of the tables. Once you interact with all of these objects, a door will open near the wooden barrel. Drop down and go through the hole in the wall. At one corner of the room, you'll find a purple glowing item. This is the
Shape of Energy.
On the eastern side of the room, there's another hole that you can climb through, but wooden crates block it off. Clear them out and go to the next room. Instead of heading up the staircase, break the wooden crates to the side to pick up the Rebellious Hair cosmetic item for Maelle.
Medalum Weapon
As part of the main story, you'll eventually have to defeat three legendary warriors and the Stranger in the Arena. However, there's a twist: you can only choose one character for these fights. Choose Maelle as your champion and complete the arena battles to unlock a unique weapon for her called
Medalum.
Challenging Golgra
After claiming victory in the Arena, players can choose to challenge Golgra, the village chief, to earn weapon rewards for specific characters. However, it's a tough encounter, and we recommend leveling up more by playing through the main story before challenging the chief.
Despite being a relatively small area, the Gestral Village in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is jam-packed with secrets that you'll want to uncover. The Chroma Catalysts picked up from the Merchants can help upgrade your weapons in the early game. Also, remember to come back once you've unlocked Verso to pick up his unique outfit later on.
