Just like the game itself, NPCs in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 are also intriguing. When players come across an NPC while exploring, there’s always something to add to the story and the atmosphere of the game.

Hexga Quest In Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
While exploring the Stone Wave Cliffs area, as part of the main quest, players can come across a sad Nevron called Hexga. It looks like most of the enemies in the area, but it describes itself as a poor threat, in a weakened, incomplete state. Hexga asks players to enter the cavern next to it and find three shining, lustrous, glistening rocks inside.
If players don't interact with the Nevron the first time they enter Stone Wave Cliffs, then they can either teleport to the Tide Caverns Rest Point flag, then exit the cave to find Hexga by the cave's entrance, or head to Old Farm and move forward until reaching the cave.
Hexga Rock Crystal Locations In Expedition 33
After exhausting Hexga’s dialogue, enter the cave next to Hexga’s location and find the golden thread that helps characters descend deeper into the cave. Players won’t search for long as they’ll immediately lay their eyes on one of the Rock Crystals there with an enemy next to it. Win the fight and hit the Rock Crystal to progress Hexga’s quest in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
There are multiple extra Lustrous Rock Crystals scattered around the cave. Players can find the next shiny rocks by staying on the left side of the cave and doing some platforming. After that, bring the Rock Crystals to Hexga, and players will get an Auto Shell Pictos alongside some extra lore about the Paintress.
Should You Attack Hexga In Expedition 33
Before attacking the Nevron, note that Hexga has an attack that can’t be countered or dodged without learning a certain type of dodge.
Players can still beat Hexga without this dodge, but it’s not going to be simple, considering the boss’s high HP and the strength of its attacks. Avoid using Fire attacks since the boss is resistant to them, and bring characters with Ice damage since Hexga is weak to Ice. Additionally, building up characters to deal 9999 damage in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 can also help beat Hexga.
Hexga has a series of predictable attacks that can be easily avoided or countered. However, if these attacks land, they will deal significant damage. Hexga can also shield itself every few actions and will launch a strong, unavoidable attack if players don’t disable the boss’s shield beforehand.
