A major part of every RPG is to grind out levels to create a more powerful character to play as, and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is carrying on that tradition. Leveling up the characters is the more surefire way to guarantee victory in battles and dominate the competition, no matter what it may be. The grind of doing so is not always the easiest thing, though, as players may spend a lot of time looking for places and enemies to fight over and over to get the most rewards and reach the maximum level.
Knowing where players should go in the game can help speed up this process and make it far less of a headache than it can be. While players are able to grind it out with any enemy and in any location, they will want to find the places that make it much easier for them. Fortunately, for these people, this guide is here to lay out the fastest way to level up in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and take that grind out as much as possible.
Best Farming Locations In Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
The most prominent way for players to level up fast is to find the areas of the game where they can get the most XP with the minimal amount of work. These kinds of areas can be found in each of the game's three acts so players can farm their experience regardless of where they are in the story.
Best Farming Area In Act 1 (Hidden Gestral Arena)
The best place to farm experience in the first act is the Hidden Gestral Arena, an underground fight club where players can duke it out with NPCs to get some XP. Players can find this location by looking between the Gestral Village and Ancient Sanctuary, specifically in the yellowish field that is just to the left of the center point.
At the arena, players should focus on fighting Julien Tiny Head specifically. This is the final fighter in the roster of opponents, and while he is smaller, he can pack a punch. Dodging and parrying will be paramount to taking him down, and doing so will net the player 26,040 XP every time.
Best Farming Area In Act 2 (Sirene Entrance)
Sirene is going to be the perfect spot for anyone looking to grind out some levels in the second act of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, specifically at the entrance. Here, players will find a ton of Dancers to do battle with, and winning every fight will give them 20,000 to 40,000 XP.
Even better, players can then rest at the nearby Expedition Flag 67 to respawn these enemies to fight over and over again. With every respawn, players can expect to net around 100,000 XP every time, which is no small amount.
Best Farming Areas In Act 3 (Dark Shores, Frozen Hearts)
For the game's final act, players will want to go to Dark Shores. In this area, there are three Noire that they can take on, with each one giving them, at a minimum, 800,000 XP.
These guys can be tough, so players will want to utilize their parrying skills to maximize their damage output. The effort is well worth the reward, however, as this spot can make grinding levels so easy.
Players will also want to look at the Frozen Hearts area of the third act, where enemies will require being Level 50 or above. Here, the encounters can give around 230,000 XP to 360,000 XP, which are great amounts to help get player levels higher in no time. Further, it is a great spot to learn countering and more.

Fight Optional Bosses To Level Up Quickly
Not every boss in the game is required to get the credits to roll, but that doesn't mean players should ignore the required ones. These optional bosses can often be one of the best ways to earn levels quickly without getting repetitive and monotonous.
These bosses can range in difficulty and rewards, but each one is worth the effort to fight. It's one of the best ways to not get bored with the grinding process. Fighting the same smaller enemies gets tough, but the optional bosses offer a unique experience every time. Plus, fighting bosses is kind of one of the biggest parts of the game, so letting these guys go by is kind of antithetical to experiencing everything that Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has to offer.

At the end of the storyline in Clair Obscur Expedition 33, players have the choice to fight as Maelle or Verso, which will affect the ending they get.
Fight Near Expedition Flags To Quickly Earn XP
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33's version of the bonfires from Dark Souls will not only serve as a checkpoint for players to heal in their respective areas, but they will also respawn enemies around them, much like their FromSoftware counterpart. Players should use this to their advantage and help make the leveling-up process a lot faster.
If players focus on fighting the enemies that can be found near Expedition Flags, then they can save time by bringing those same enemies back. It's a much more efficient way to grind out fighting rather than roaming around to find new enemies in every corner of the map.
This method is a great way to break up the monotony of fighting the same enemies repeatedly. Going to the previously mentioned farming locations may give out the most XP, but that can be really boring to do over and over again. So, while fighting around many Expedition Flags isn't going to give out the most experience, it helps break everything up.

Chroma Catalyst can be used to upgrade weapons in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, but it's unclear how to use the Chroma Catalyst itself.
Use The Best Builds To Finish Fights Faster
Knowing the right location and enemies that will give the best rewards is one thing, but it is another to be able to take these enemies down. That's why optimizing the character builds, the best abilities, and the best weapons is crucial to speeding up this grinding process. Luckily, the game allows players to respec characters to better adjust for every fight.
Players will want to know what the weaknesses are for every enemy and how they can best prepare to fight these creatures so they're not left hitting their head against a figurative wall. The fact of the matter is that many of the enemies that give the best rewards are also going to be some of the toughest ones around. It's going to take some preparation beforehand — and finding the right build to take them down with little issue.
