Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has you going from place to place on your quest to defeat the Paintress once and for all with your party. You'll head to these different core locations via the overworld map, but sometimes, it's unclear how you're supposed to reach your destination or even where you're supposed to go. After battling Monoco at Monoco's Station, you'll finally be ready to take your party to Old Lumiere to try and destroy the Paintress' Heart once and for all. The problem is that when you look at the map, it's unclear how to get there. In this guide, I'll explain how to get to Old Lumiere in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 so you can carry on your adventure with Maelle, Lune, Sciel, and the rest of the gang.

How to Get to Old Lumiere from Monoco Station in Clair Obscur Expedition 33

After defeating Monoco and having him join your party, exit the area where you fought him and return to the area where the NPCs are standing, shown in the screenshot below.

Here, you'll find that a new path has opened up. The easiest way to find it is to head back towards the path you took to enter Monoco Station and face towards the area where the NPCs are standing. Head towards this area, and then to your left, you'll find a new path that leads upwards to another exit. Head up here and through the portal to head back out into the overworld.

Make sure you take this exit out of Monoco Station. If you take the other exit, you'll be heading towards Frozen Hearts, which is on the wrong side.

From here, it's a case of heading north through the overworld and using the map (up on the d-pad) to guide you there. The easiest way to find the entrance to Old Lumiere is to look out for all of the light swords sticking out of the ground. Head towards these, and you'll find a path leading you to a portal that'll take you to Old Lumiere.

Once you're here, you're back to the typical linear adventuring that you find in these more enclosed sections of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. If you're looking for more pointers on your way through this part of the game, be sure to check out our Old Lumiere 100% walkthrough. For those looking for some pointers on the best Monoco build, we've got you covered there, too. Getting his build right can massively help with combat moving forward, so it's well worth taking the time to perfect it.
