Clair Obscur Expedition 33 is a French-developed RPG from Sandfall Interactive. It draws inspiration from Japanese RPGs like Final Fantasy and Persona, but while playing, it mostly reminded me of Final Fantasy 13, specifically. While the game is pretty linear for the most part, there's a fairly big open map for you to explore, especially once you unlock the ability to fly in the endgame.

There are also tons of secrets littered around the map, with new outfits to collect, hairstyles to try on, Pictos to give you the upper hand in battle, music records to listen to back at camp, and even side quests like finding lost creatures and discovering the secret of the Manor.

I managed to roll credits in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 in around 27 hours across its three Acts. The developers have stated that most players can complete the game in 30 hours, while completionists may need up to 60 hours. Based on my gameplay time and the 35-ish hours it took one of our guide writers, it seems the devs were spot on with this statement.

I've been doing a lot of post-game stuff and wrapping up some collectibles, and my in-game clock is at over 40 hours now. I still have a lot to do and around 10-15 Achievements to wrap up as well. Spending close to 60 hours seems very possible, considering how much of the map I've yet to fully explore.

The three acts in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 are...Act 1 - Gustave, Act 2 - Verso, and Act 3 - Maelle.
