During Act 3 of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, you will get to unlock the flying ability for Esquie, allowing you and your party the power to travel all over The Continent with ease.
Once you have this ability, dozens of new locations will be accessible, such as a sub-location called The Canvas. In this area, you'll find a key item called the Manor Family Canvas. However, the game doesn't tell you what it's used for. This guide will show you the frame it needs to be placed into and the rewards you'll get in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
Where is The Canvas in Clair Obscur Expedition 33?
High Up
You can find the location known as 'The Canvas' in the northwestern section of the map, just northwest of Sirene. The portal will be on top of a floating rock, so you'll need Esquie's flight ability to reach it.
Once you enter the location, you will find a huge frame on the floor with a picture of the Dessendre family. Take the Manor Family Canvas out of the frame. Next, we need to return to the Manor.
What to do with the Manor Family Canvas in Clair Obscur Expedition 33
You need to take the portrait to The Manor (this is the mysterious place with all the rooms and locked doors connected to all the maps through somewhat hidden doors).
You can get to the Manor via any of those doors you've seen on your journey, like the one in Gestral Village or Flying Waters near the Noco's Hut Rest Point.
Once you reach the Manor's main entrance, look up the stairs and to the right to see the large empty frame. Interact with it, and you can place the Manor Family Canvas into it. Doing this will unlock a door down the hallway closest to you, past some very long dining tables.
Enter the unlocked room to find a Journal with an unknown author and a new outfit for Maelle called 'Painted Me.'
