In order to unlock the Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 trophy and achievement called... Expedition 33, you need to find and recruit all five other playable characters (excluding Gustave). Luckily, there are no missable party members in the game, so you don't need to worry about searching every nook and cranny in hopes of finding new expeditioners.
The other party members in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 will join periodically through the story of the game, so down below, we will lay out each party member's name and when they will be added as a party member.
This might be considered spoilers for some players, so please proceed with caution!
8 JRPGs That Have Complicated But Great Combat Systems
These JRPG titles feature complex combat systems; however, once players figure out how to fully utilize them they add to the gameplay experience.
All Party Members in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
Gustave
Gustave is the main character of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and you will spend a good chunk of the game playing as him. However, there will come a point where the protagonist will change and Gustave will no longer be playable.
Lune
Lune will join Gustave in the first major zone of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33: Spring Meadows. Lune uses elemental magic to fight the bad guys, and her unique Stain system allows her to stack up different elemental icons and use them as an advantage for her attacks.
Maelle
Flying Waters is the next major zone you will explore after completing Spring Meadows, and once you reach a mysterious Manor within the water-themed area, you will find Maelle, and she will join your party. Once she ends up with the gang, she will introduce you to a being that can help you upgrade your weapons and use your Colours of Lumina.
Sciel
Once you get through the next area, Ancient Sanctuary, you will end up in the Gestral Village. Take on the Arena as part of the main storyline, and Sciel will be the last opponent. She uses tarot cards and the power of the sun and the moon to fight.
Verso
Verso will replace Gustave as the main playable character in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 at the end of Act 1 after clearing the Stone Wave Cliffs map. He uses a neat ranking system that increases if you perform attacks without getting damaged. The higher the rank, the more damage you will dish out.
Monoco
Verso will then take you and the party to meet his buddy named Monoco. You will end up fighting Monoco at Monoco's Station; defeat him, another fight will follow, and then he will officially join the posse. You can find feet by defeating certain enemies in the world, and Monoco can then use said feet to transform into different Nevron during battle.
It's worth noting that you can only find these items if you have Monoco in the party.
