Chroma
Right when the level starts, look over to the waterfall on the right to find 180 Chroma (typical video game stuff).
X2 Chroma Catalysts
Keep walking up the main path until you reach a tutorial fight with a Lancelier. As a reward for defeating the creature, you will get two Chroma Catalysts. You'll be able to use these in a couple of hours to upgrade your weapons once you recruit a specific party member.
Recruit Lune
After you progress along the path, you'll learn how to use your grappling ability, and then you'll learn how to climb up walls using pegs that the expeditions before you placed.
Eventually, you'll have a cutscene to watch, and once it ends, you'll be in a fight with an enemy called a Portier, and Lune will join your party.
Dodger Pictos
After you defeat the Portier, you will get the
Dodger Pictos, which allows a party member to gain extra AP for performing a Perfect Dodge.
Expedition 81 Rest Point
Leave the cave with Lune to find a grassy field and a river. There's only one way forward, so just keep walking until you reach the Expedition 81 Rest Point. You can use this to heal, restock your Tints, upgrade stats, and learn new skills.
Lanceram Weapon for Gustave
After leaving the rest point and following the main path, you will learn how to perform a back strike against unsuspecting enemies to get the advantage. After the fight with the Lanceliers, you will get the
Lanceram (lv 1) weapon for Gustave. In its current state, the Lanceram is stronger than the
Noahram, so make sure to equip it ASAP.
Chroma
You can find 180 Chroma right after you get the Lanceram by walking to the right and up the small hill.
8 Most Emotional Battles In JRPGs, Ranked
These high-stakes JRPG battles also showcase some of the most emotional fights in the genre.
Critical Burn Pictos
Keep walking a bit forward and you should spot a small path on the right that leads to a new Pictos.
Critical Burn makes it so that you have more of a chance of performing Crit damage if the enemy is burned.
Chroma
Head back on the main path, and you'll see a Lancelier in the field. Turn to the path on the left, and it will take you to the item spot where you will find another 180 Chroma.
Chroma Catalyst
Enter the house after fighting the pair of Lanceliers, and you can find a
Chroma Catalyst on the right side of the room. Go up one floor and then interact with the magical Rope to get even higher up.
Energy Tint Shard and Chroma
Once you land and get to see a really nice view, take an immediate right to find a hidden area containing an
Energy Tint Shard. Head through the nearby "door" before heading back upstairs to find another secret area with 360 Chroma.
Chroma
As soon as you go towards the next Expedition Flag, Grand Meadow, you can drop to the left to find 180 Chroma near some boxes and crates.
Chroma and Baguette Outfit/Hat
Before going to the path on the right that leads to a big Portier, head to the left to find a smaller enemy and 180 Chroma. Look out in the distance to see a grapple point. Grapple to the platform, and follow the linear path to a Mime. If you can defeat it in battle, you will be rewarded with the Baguette Outfit for Gustave and the Baguette "haircut." It's really just a beret, though.
Colour of Lumina
If you head on the path to the right of the Expedition flag, you will find a Portier waiting for a battle. If you defeat the monster, you can claim the purple item behind it, which happens to be a
Colour of Lumina. Go ahead and hop on the platform behind the monster to continue on the main path.
X2 Chroma Catalysts
Eventually, you'll get to a cutscene where you'll learn about how to deal with flying enemies. Once they're defeated, you will earn two Chroma Catalysts.
Lanceram Level 2 Upgrade / Augmented Attack Picto / Chroma Catalyst / Colour of Lumina
Instead of going up the magical rope, head towards the right to find a tough enemy called the Chromatic Lancelier. Make sure to learn how to parry its moves and use Ice (its weakness) to take care of it.
Once defeated, you will earn an upgrade for the Lanceram weapon, the
Augmented Attack Picto, two Chroma Catalysts, and five Colour of Lumina' s.
If you look behind the defeated monster, you'll also find 180 Chroma.
Clair Obscur is Getting Its Own Live-Action Movie
Despite the game not being released yet, reports confirm that Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 will get a live-action film adaptation.
Chroma
Go back to the magic rope, fling yourself up, and instead of following the main path to the right, go left and drop some ledges to find 720 Chroma. Head back to the glowing tree and turn left for a grapple point. Continue on the path until you get to a split.
X2 Chroma Catalyst and Chroma
At the split path, head right to fight a Portier. As a reward for the battle, you'll get two Chroma Catalysts. Keep walking the path until you reach a dead end to find 180 Chroma on the ground. Turn around and follow the main path that will lead to some handholds on the side of the mountain for you to climb.
Expedition 81 Journal
Walk through the cave and you'll reach a cutscene. At the end of it, you will automatically get Renee's Journal from Expedition 81.
You can unlock the 'Follow the Trail' trophy/achievement for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 by finding all the journals from previous expeditions.
Abandoned Expeditioner Camp / Healing Tint Shard
You'll find the next rest point next to the Nevron on the floor: the Abandoned Expeditioner Camp.
The Nevron will ask Gustave to bring him some light. You can find some
Resin (scroll down for its location), which is not far from the Nevron. Bring it back to him to get a Healing Tint Shard.
Burning Shots Pictos
Follow the path to the left of the campsite to reach an open area. You'll see some flares off in the distance. Turn to the left to find the d
Burning Shots Pictos near a tree. Turn around to keep following the main path.
Dead Energy II Pictos
Before you go back on the main path though, you can find another Pictos by heading up the slope where you came from and then following the path to a cliff. This is where the dddddddddddddddddddddd
Dead Energy II Pictos can be found.
Lighterim Weapon for Lune
On the main path, you should spot an enemy known as an Abbest walking about. Engage in battle with it, and once the fight ends, you should get a new weapon for Lune: the Lighterim (lv 1).
- Its weapon power starts at 39.
- It uses the Fire element.
- Defense is at D and Agility is at C.
Colour of Lumina
In the same little clearing where you fought the Abbest, look for a glowing purple item towards the wall to find another Colour of Lumina.
Chroma Catalyst
In the next area, you'll see a path on the left and one on the right. Take the left path to fight an enemy. Look behind it to find a Chroma Catalyst.
Chroma Catalyst / Colour of Lumina / Resin
If you go down on the right, you can defeat the Abbest to get two Chroma Catalysts; keep walking to find another Colour of Lumina, and then two more Chroma Catalysts from another fight. Behind some boxes on this path, you'll also spot a glowing purple item. Pick it up to find some Resin.
If you take the Resin back to Jar (next to the
Abandoned Expeditioner rest point), you will get a Healing Tint Shard. Challenge Jar to a battle and you can also get three Colours of Lumina and a Chroma Catalyst.
Revive Tint Shard
Right across from where you found the Resin, you can either go up the hill or enter a side corridor that leads to a
Revive Tint Shard. This will let you revive another member of your party during battle, which is super important.
The Indigo Tree Rest Point / Eveque Boss Fight
Now, just go up the slope, and it will take you to the last campsite of the area: The Indigo Tree. Walk forward, and you will need to defeat the boss of Spring Meadows, Eveque.
Cleansing Tint Pictos and x3 Chroma Catalysts
Once you defeat Eveque, you will get the
Cleansing Tint Pictos and three more Chroma Catalysts.
Cleansing Tint makes it so that when you use a healing Tint in battle, the item will also cure any negative status effects.
Empowering Attack Pictos
Before leaving Spring Meadows after the cutscene once Eveque is defeated, turn around instead and walk on the path on the right to reach a dead body next to the
Empowering Attack Pictos.
Colour of Lumina
And the last item to get before moving on from Spring Meadows is another Colour of Lumina. Just use that magic rope near the Expedition 33 message on the stone and follow the path.
