Clash Royale is an extremely dynamic game with a meta that shifts regularly. Some decks naturally get stronger as buffs and nerfs get rolled out for the cards. Suddenly, you'll notice that the Golem Beatdown Deck you spammed to climb the ladder just a few months back struggles to keep up with a LumberLoon Freeze Deck simply because it's a better fit for the meta.

This is part of why Clash Royale is such a fun game. You must constantly adjust your playstyle if you want to play at the top level. We've compiled some of the best Clash Royale decks you might want to try out right now to reach the Ultimate Champion.

You'll find more information about these decks below:

LumberLoon Freeze

clash-royale-goblin-lumberloon-freeze

The LumberLoon Freeze is a staple of Clash Royale, with players coming up with new and interesting variants as the meta changes. This deck uses the evergreen combo of Lumberjack and Balloon with a Freeze thrown in to catch the opponent off guard.

Here are the cards you'll need for this deck:

Card Name

Elixir Cost

Evo Zap

2

Evo Pekka

7

Tornado

3

Ice Wizard

3

Lumberjack

4

Baby Dragon

4

Freeze

4

Balloon

5

With the arrival of Evo Pekka and the recent buff to the Ice Wizard, this LumberLoon Freeze variant is at the peak of the meta. The win condition combo of Balloon, Lumberjack, and Freeze is always strong. Now, you also have a solid anti-tank troop with the Evo Pekka. With Ice Wizard and Baby Dragon, you'll also have no problems dealing with swarm-heavy decks like the Log Bait or Graveyard.

The deck is a bit on the heavy side, though, with its 4.0 average elixir cost. That means, in the single-elixir stage of the game, you'll want to play slow going in with Baloon pushes only when you've got an elixir lead. However, as soon as the game hits the double-elixir mark, you can play more aggressively, going in with your Baloon and Lumberjack and using Freeze at just the right moment to get a connection.

Both Cannoneer and Tower Princess are good with this deck.

Mortar Miner Control

clash-royale-evo-mortar-miner

Miner decks are always fun to play for fans of fast-cycle decks in Clash Royale. While these decks require a degree of skill to execute properly, getting a successful lock with the Mortar and constantly chipping down the enemy tower with the Miner feels extremely rewarding.

Here are the cards you'll need for this deck:

Card Name

Elixir Cost

Evo Bats

2

Evo Mortar

4

Goblin Gang

3

Miner

3

Ice Wizard

3

Arrows

3

Skeleton King

4

Cannon Cart

5

This is an extremely aggressive deck with only a 3.4 average elixir cost. You'll want to constantly go in with the Miner on the enemy tower to get as much chip damage as possible. Use the Mortar on the bridge to force your enemy to defend. Place the Cannon Cart to protect your Mortar or take down the opponent's win condition. Ice Wizard is your main defense against the opponent's big pushes.

With the Skeleton King as the Champion, you'll be able to get to your Evo Mortar faster by cycling through the deck. Your Evo Bats and Goblin Gang are usually best for defense. But with the Miner tanking the tower hits, you can place them on the bridge to put extra pressure on the opponent. Use Arrows on the enemy tower if they use cheap troops like Ice Spirit or Skeletons to block your Miner. It’s a beginner-friendly deck that will easily help you reach the top ladder once you learn to use it perfectly.

Use the Cannoneer as your tower troop on this deck.

Gob Giant Fishman Night Witch

Since it got the Evo treatment, Goblin Giant's win rate skyrocketed in Clash Royale. And although most people like to pair it with a Sparky, the deck that's performing the best right now is the one with the Night Witch.

Here are the cards you'll want to use with this deck:

Card Name

Elixir Cost

Evo Goblin Giant

6

Evo Pekka

7

Rage

2

Guards

3

Fisherman

3

Arrows

3

Void

3

Night Witch

4

This Beatdown deck uses the two most broken Evolution Cards in the game right now: the Evo Goblin Giant and the Evo Pekka. Despite having two heavy hitters, the deck has a low 3.9 average elixir cost, allowing you to cycle through your cards quickly to build up a massive push as the game drags on.

The trick to winning with this deck is knowing when to play aggressively and when to step back and focus on the defense. In the single elixir stage, you'll want to play safe. You've got the Fisherman and the Guards, and both of these cards excel at protecting your tower. Use the Pekka to counter the opponent's win condition. Avoid going in with Goblin Giant unless you've got a clear elixir lead. Once you hit the double elixir stage, you're unstoppable. Build a push from behind your King Tower with your Goblin Giant and Night Witch. Use Void, Arrows, and Rage to eliminate anything the enemy places to defend your push.

Cannoneer is the perfect Tower Troop for this deck.

In Clash Royale, each player has different preferences when it comes to how they play the game. Some players like a fast Hog Rider deck that keeps cycling the win condition on the tower, while others prefer a slower Beatdown deck that relies on building up a big push. While our list gives you a couple of great options, it's also important to experiment with the cards and build a deck that's perfect for your playstyle.
