The Goblin Cage isn’t the most popular card in Clash Royale. Even just a few weeks ago, it was only used on a handful of decks. But things have changed now that the Evo Goblin Cage has finally arrived in the arena! It’s a one-cycle Evolution card that, as weird as it sounds, grabs and absorbs the enemy unit and pummels its HP down to zero.
Against beatdown decks, it can get rid of the tank all on its own as long as you manage to protect it from the other troops. Without the right counters, breaking through the enemy push when there’s an Evo Goblin Cage on the field is extremely challenging. For those who want to try out the new Evo, we’ve compiled some of the best decks that use this card.

Archer Queen Royal Hogs
Archer Queen Royal Hogs was a strong deck in Clash Royale a while back, but with the arrival of Little Prince and beatdown decks becoming popular, people had trouble finding success with this cycle deck. Now that Goblin Cage is here, this deck can handle big beatdown win conditions like the Elixir Golem and Golem breaking a sweat.

The Archer Queen Royal Hogs deck is known for its fast cycle because of the champion. In the single elixir phase of the game, your goal is to play defensively, cycling Royal Hogs and dealing chip damage whenever you get the chance. You’ve got plenty of cheap defense cards, like the Ice Spirit, Royal Delivery, and Evo Skeletons.
This deck becomes extremely strong in the double and triple elixir stages. With the Archer Queen on the field, you can cycle multiple Royal Hogs and Earthquakes on the enemy tower. The Evo Goblin Cage is all the defense you need, so make sure you cycle it regularly to have it available for the enemy’s big push. Both Tower Princess and Dagger Duchess are good choices for this deck as Tower Troops.
Classic Splashyard
Graveyard is one of the most broken win conditions in Clash Royale, even when it’s not in the meta. The Classic Splashyard is making a huge comeback now that Evo Goblin Cage is here. The issue with this deck was that there wasn’t a decent second Evo for it. Compared to other decks in the meta, such as the Evo Goblin Drill cycle, it didn't feel as strong. Now, you can switch out the Tombstone for the Evo Goblin Cage and address all its defensive weaknesses.
You’ll need the following cards for this deck:

Baby Dragon |

Graveyard |

The deck plays the same way it did before it became irrelevant. You’ve got a mini-tank with the Evo Knight. Tornado lets you clump up the enemy troops while Ice Wizard and Baby Dragon deal massive splash damage. For defense, you’ve got the Evo Goblin Cage and Barbarian Barrel.
Graveyard and Poison are the two main cards in the deck. With a Graveyard on the enemy tower and your Baby Dragon or Barbarian Barrel tanking damage, you’ll be able to deal massive damage every time you go in. Unless your opponents have specific counters like Valkyrie or Poison to counter the deck, winning against Splashyard is extremely tough. Cheaper defenses like Skeleton or Goblins aren’t effective since you’ve also got Poison in the deck. As for your Tower Troop, Tower Princess is all you’ll need.
Royal Giant EQ
For beatdown fans, the Royal Giant EQ is another excellent deck that you can build with the Evo Goblin Cage for easy Trophy wins. Evo Royal Giant is one of the stronger evolutions in Clash Royale. With the new Evo added to the deck, it’s easily one of the best decks in the game right now.

Royal Giant decks are usually heavy on the elixir. However, with its 2.9 average elixir cost, this one lets you play quickly and aggressively. You want to keep cycling Royal Giants to get to your Evo and forcing your opponents to play defensive. With the Evo Goblin Cage, you won’t have to worry about much defensively.
The cheap defensive units Firecracker, Royal Delivery Skeletons, and Ice Spirit let you quickly move through your deck. Earthquakes allow you to take down enemy defensive structures and clear the path for your Evo Royal Giant to deal massive damage to the enemy tower. Once the enemy King or Princess Tower’s health gets low enough, you can cycle The Log and Earthquake to take it down. You’ll need the Cannoneer Tower Troop for this deck.
Since the Evo Goblin Cage is a relatively new addition to the Clash Royale arena, people are still experimenting to see what works best. Feel free to try out the decks we mentioned, and let us know which one you like best.
