How to Add Friends in Clash Royale
There are a few different ways to add your people to your friend list in Clash Royale. The easiest method so far is to simply add them via the Social tab. Here's how to do that:
- Launch the game on your mobile device
- Log into your account
- Click on the Social menu on the top right of your screen. It's the first button beside your banner.
- From the new menu that pops up, click on the Invite Friend button.
A window will open where you'll see a Sharing Link that you can copy. Copy this link and send it to your friend via Social Media. Once your friend taps on the link, they will be added instantly to your friend list.
You can also share the link in your clan so that your clan mates can join you as their friends.
Adding Friends To Your Supercell ID
Alternatively, you can also add your friends to your Supercell ID. To do that, click on the hamburger menu in the game's home screen and tap the Supercell ID at the bottom. Click on the Add button. You'll have three different ways to add your friends using this method:
- Share your QR Code so that your friends can scan it to add you.
- Scan your friend's Supercell ID QR Code to add them to your list.
- Click on Share Link to Profile to generate a shareable invite link that they can tap to add you to their list.
Friends added using this method will get added to other Supercell games you play from your Supercell ID, including Brawl Stars or Squad Busters.
You can have a total of 100 Clash Friends and 300 Supercell ID friends at the moment. To remove a friend from your Clash Royale account, tap on the Social button, tap on your friend's ID, and select Remove Friend. To remove Supercell ID friends, head to the Supercell ID menu, tap on your friends's ID, and choose Unfriend.
There's a third way to add friends in Clash Royale, but that's mostly reserved for adding people you don't know. When you're playing a 2v2 battle in the game, there's a short window to add the player on your team to your friend list after the match ends. As the game ends, you'll see an add button at the bottom of the screen. Tap on it to send a friend request to your teammate.

How to Play With Friends in Clash Royale
Although Clash Royale is mostly a 1v1 game at this point, there's a lot that you can do with your friends. If your friend is already in a game, you can go in as a spectator and cheer them on by throwing confetti in the arena. Tap on their ID when they're playing and select Spectate to watch their game live. You can also invite them to a friendly 1v1 match. To initiate a 1v1 game, simply tap on their ID and choose Friendly Battle.
The cards are always at the Challenge Level in friendly games to keep the playing field even.
Additionally, you can invite your friend to join you in a 2v2 match where you will face off against a similar two-player team on the opponent's side; however, you can't play a 2v2 match on Trophy Road now.
You'll have to play in an active event game mode if you want to play 2v2 with your friends. To do that, navigate to the event tab and tap the event button. Switch to the 2v2 tab and select Battle. This will open a new window where you can either invite a friend to play with you or pair up with a random ally.
Playing a game with a friend is always fun, and although the option in Clash Royale is limited at the moment, there's a chance that players will soon get a 2v2 game mode similar to Path of Legends. For now, spectating your friend's game, challenging them to a 1v1 match, or partnering up for a 2v2 battle are the only three options available to you.
