Call of Duty Modern Warfare Zombies will go live shortly along with the Multiplayer, and Activision has revealed all the perks and field upgrades available. The rundown of the Zombies mode gives players a sneak peek of what to expect once Modern Warfare 3 launches on November 10. Zombies have been a part of the Call of Duty franchise, but they’re a bit different in MW3.

The new Zombies offer an open-world gaming experience, and they can be found on the new Urzikstan map that requires players to work in teams to survive the undead forces. Players and their teammates can use field upgrades defensively or offensively, and here are all the field upgrades available in MW3.

All Modern Warfare 3 Zombies Field Upgrades

  • Energy Mine: This spawns an energy mine that causes damage to any enemy that sets it off.
    • Recharge speed: Medium

  • Frenzie Guard: Players who activate the Frenzie Guard force all targets in the area to focus their attacks on them. If the player defeats the attacking enemy while the upgrade is active, their armor is repaired.
    • Recharge speed: Slow

  • Healing Aura: This heals players even on their last stand.
    • Recharge speed: Slow

  • Frost Blast: This damages enemies with frost through an initial explosion before creating an area that slows down anyone who enters it.
    • Recharge speed: Medium.

  • Aether Shroud: This Renders players who activate it invisible to zombies.
    • Recharge speed: Medium

  • Tesla Storm: Players who activate Tesla Storm chain lightning to other players around them for 10 seconds, and they will take damage.
    • Recharge speed: Medium.

When Modern Warfare 3 launches, players will only have access to one field upgrade for the Zombies mode. They can unlock the other field upgrades by progressing through the levels. Players should not confuse the field upgrades for the weapons and loadouts they bring into the Zombie mode. The field upgrades take up a different slot in the inventory. Activision is yet to reveal how many field upgrades players can carry into MW3’s Zombie mode, but we will update this article once they do.

With the release of Modern Warfare 3 a few hours away, it’s exciting to see all the new Zombie perks, content, weapons, missions, equipment, and acquisitions that will be available.
