The Tapes of Terror Event is a collection-based event, similar to the Blaze of Glory and John Wick: Ballerina events from previous seasons. In this event, players need to collect Chucky and Jason Videotapes, which can be dropped from eliminations in Black Ops 6 Multiplayer and Zombies, or found within loot caches in Warzone.

Collected Videotapes can then be used to redeem rewards within the Tapes of Terror Event page in the main lobby. There are a total of eight rewards that players can redeem using these Videotapes, along with two additional Mastery Rewards for unlocking them all. One of these rewards is free, while the other is reserved for Season 6 BlackCell Pass owners.
