How Does The Extinction Protocol Event Work in Black Ops 6 Zombies?
The Extinction Protocol Event works a lot like the previous The Death Pit Event, serving as a leaderboard challenge exclusive to Black Ops 6 Zombies. To take part, players need to jump into Zombies and earn points by getting zombie kills using Scorestreaks or Field Upgrades. Earning Distinguished Medals for Scorestreaks and Field Upgrades will also grant players extra points. Here is a breakdown of how points can be earned:
- Zombie Kills: 1 Point
- Special Zombie Kills: 25 Points
- Elite Zombie Kills: 100 Points
- Distinguished Medals: 100 Points
As players rack up points, they’ll move up the event leaderboard, competing against 29 other players. The higher their placement at the end of the event, the better the rewards they’ll receive. In addition, players can earn a set of milestone rewards by reaching a specific amount of Event Points, which will be available as soon as the event goes live.

When Does The Extinction Protocol Event End in Black Ops 6 Zombies?
The Extinction Protocol Event began on October 30 at 10 AM PT and will be the last of the limited-time events for Black Ops 6. The event will run for exactly one week, ending on November 6 at 10 AM PT. Once it concludes, players will receive their leaderboard placement rewards. All GobbleGums earned during the event will also carry over to Black Ops 7 Zombies if left unused.
