How to Turn Off Crossplay in Black Ops 7 (PlayStation)

The crossplay option in Black Ops 7 can easily be accessed by heading into the game's settings menu and navigating to the 'Account & Network' option. Here, at the very top, you'll find the 'Crossplay' option, where you can toggle it on and off by pressing the X button. To summarise, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Black Ops 7's Settings menu.
  2. Select the 'Account & Network' option.
  3. Turn the 'Crossplay' setting toggle from 'On' to 'Off.'

Changing your crossplay settings on Xbox has to be done at the system level, rather than in-game. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the 'Settings' menu on your Xbox.
  2. Select the 'Online Safety and Family' option.
  3. Go to 'Privacy and Online Safety.'
  4. Select 'Xbox Privacy.'
  5. Go to 'View Details & Customize.'
  6. Select 'Communication & Multiplayer.'
  7. Change 'You can join cross-network play' from 'Allow' to 'Block.'

If you ever want to change this again in the future, navigate back to this setting and switch it back to 'Allow.'

It's unclear why Xbox players need to dive into the system settings to disable crossplay, rather than being able to turn it off just for specific games. However, this has been the case for a while, and it doesn't appear to be changing with the CoD series anytime soon.

Can You Turn Off Crossplay in Black Ops 7 on PC?

At the time of writing, PC players can't disable crossplay in Black Ops 7. This is most likely because PC players typically have the upper hand and have the lower player count across all platforms, so it benefits them more than console players.
