With so many weapons featured in Black Ops 7, it's a surprise that players will want to find even more ways to equip them. Luckily, melee weapons allow for that, as these stabbing and blunt weapons can be equipped just like any other gun. While you can't have attachments on them, you can still run around with them instead of relying on the dedicated melee button. How to Equip Melee Weapons in Black Ops 7
In order to equip melee weapons in Black Ops 7, you need to hold R3/V. This will see you equip your dedicated melee weapon, and you can now hold it in Multiplayer for faster movement, or in Zombies so that you can upgrade it with Pack-a-Punch or its rarity through The Arsenal. However, you don't just have to rely on holding R3/V to equip the melee weapon, as you can actually change the binding for the dedicated melee button. To do so, you will need to follow these instructions and enter the settings:
- Head to the in-game Settings
- Navigate to Controller/Keyboard & Mouse
- Head to Combat
- In the Combat Behaviors tab, locate Dedicated Melee Weapon Activation
- Swap freely between Hold Melee, Weapon Cycle, or Dedicated Keybind
Hold Melee means you will have to hold R3/V every time in order to equip it, but Weapon Cycle just means you need to press Triangle/Y to cycle through your Primary, Secondary, and now Melee. Dedicated Keybind is just for PC players, and means they can set a specific button to activate their Melee Weapon.
