Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Zombies may be one of the biggest zombie offerings yet, taking players into the largest launch map with Ashes of the Damned, endless Survival on Vandorn Farm, and heaps of fun through Dead Ops Arcade 4. Whether you are pushing for the highest round possible or completing the main Easter Egg for each map, there is a long grind ahead for anyone jumping in.
With Black Ops 7 comes a fresh roster of 30 weapons, each with its own perks. While some weapons definitely stand out as meta options in Multiplayer, a different set shines specifically in Zombies. For those looking to slay the undead in style, here are the best weapons to use in Black Ops 7 Zombies.
While Wonder Weapons like the Necrofluid Gauntlet are easily the most powerful weapons in the game, they will not be considered.
Jager (Pistol)

Geri |
|
The Jager is the very first Pistol that players can get their hands on in Black Ops 7, and while Multiplayer players may avoid it altogether, in Zombies, it is a whole other beast. When Pack-a-Punched, the Jager is upgraded into a mini handheld Shotgun, firing a spread of bullets while also retaining the fast handling and movement speed standard for a Pistol. The damage is also exceptionally high for its base variant, making it a good consideration.
Though much less effective from afar, the Jager is a great Secondary weapon to carry for dishing out immense damage to enemies that get a little too close for comfort. However, pair the gun with its Skull Splitter Barrel, and you can deal massive critical damage to even the toughest enemies like the Zursa.
DS20 Mirage (Assault Rifle)

Duality of Blam |

When it comes to Assault Rifles, all weapons in the category are actually pretty viable. However, one weapon that is currently standing out is the DS20 Mirage, which many people might be overlooking. If players look at the weapon's stats right away, the DS20 boasts something none of the others have: an incredibly high damage multiplier when hitting the necks of regular zombies.
For critical kills, the DS20 Mirage is the king of all the full auto options, dishing out massive critical damage with neck shots and headshots that can wipe away trains of zombies with ease. It also sports an excellent range, is fairly controllable, and has a good rate of fire to boot, even without Double Tap. If you're looking for a strong standard weapon to take into the Ashes of the Damned boss fight alongside your trusty Wonder Weapon, this one is it. What's more, it's a wall buy at Zarya Cosmodrome.
Peacekeeper MK1 (Assault Rifle)

Utu's Petition |
|
Keeping with Assault Rifles, now with the Peacekeeper MK1, an iconic rifle that actually ranks quite high in Zombies. While it is far from the best weapon to use across long range, that is not much of a weakness in Zombies when you are dealing with hordes of enemies rushing you. With a very fast fire rate, it also racks up a fair amount of damage against enemies.
The Peacekeeper MK1 is not the heaviest-hitting weapon by any means, but its DPS for critical shots is definitely up there with many of the highest DPS weapons in the game. It is also quite fast by Assault Rifle standards. What is more, there is also a wall buy for it on both Vandorn Farm Survival and Ashes of the Damned, located in the farmhouse.
Akita (Shotgun)

Hachiko |
|
Looking for the equivalent of the Maelstrom in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Zombies? That would be the Akita, easily the best Shotgun available. This full-auto Shotgun is already a strong starter weapon, firing incredibly quickly and shredding base enemies without much need for precise aiming. But that is only scratching the surface.
When Pack-a-Punched, the Akita receives a massive increase to its magazine capacity, which is a solid bonus that helps counteract its extremely fast fire rate. For high rounding and for taking down swarms of enemies, as well as dealing heavy damage to hordes of Ravagers during Special Rounds, it is by far the best close-range option. Its range by default is fairly limited, however.
MK.78 (LMG)

Meteoric Kalamity |
|
While LMGs are usually to be avoided in Black Ops 7 Multiplayer, the MK.78 is definitely a decent option to use in Zombies specifically. Right off the bat, many may drop it because of its low mobility and slow reload speed, and while it does receive a buff to movement speed when Pack-a-Punched, it's notably much slower than the Beta, and players really need to run Stamin-Up to actually notice a difference. So why exactly should you consider the MK.78?
The MK.78 is a powerhouse when it comes to damage per shot. It fires slowly but hits incredibly hard, and it is also extremely stable when it comes to recoil. It is an absolute monster against the Zursa when aimed at critical spots and can also be used to great effect against bosses and trains of zombies from afar. That is not to mention its large magazine by default. Pair this weapon with Deadshot Daiquiri, Speed Cola, and Double Tap, and you have a force to be reckoned with.
CODA 9 (Pistol)

NO-KAP |
|
Back to Pistols now with the CODA 9, a standout weapon from the Beta that is just as good for the full launch of Black Ops 7. This nifty machine Pistol comes with all the perks of its class, notably a superfast ADS speed and excellent mobility. However, it pairs this with a blistering fire rate that makes it easily one of the best weapons in the game.
The CODA 9 has one of the highest levels of DPS of any weapon available, quickly racking up immense damage while allowing players to remain mobile. It is also the very first wall buy you can find in Ashes of the Damned, meaning you can often pick up a higher rarity CODA 9, without needing to spend Salvage to upgrade it.
Ryden 45k (SMG)

Sybil's Sentence |
|
Next up is the Ryden 45k, an excellent choice among Multiplayer players, but an even better weapon in Zombies. The Ryden 45k boasts an incredibly fast RPM for the SMG category, ranking as the second best. While its damage per shot is on the lower side, this fast fire rate more than makes up for it, allowing it to dish out a high amount of damage quickly, even without the use of Double Tap.
The weapon can also be built with high mobility in mind since it is an SMG, and when paired with Stamin-Up, it allows players to weave in and out of trains of zombies with ease while firing from the hip or aiming down sights for extra precision. Of course, with such a high fire rate, the gun tends to burn through its ammo quite effectively. However, with it being both a wall buy on Vandorn Farm Survival and Ashes of the Damned, it is definitely one of the more cost-effective options since you can always buy back ammo via its wall buy.
Razor 9mm (SMG)
|
Pack-a-Punch Variant |
Pack-a-Punch Effects |
|---|---|
|
Taniwha's Frenzy |
|
If you like the Ryden 45k, then you may like the Razor 9mm even more. This compact SMG also sports a blistering fire rate, only this time ranking as the number one fastest-firing SMG. While fire rate does not always guarantee the highest DPS, the Razor 9mm is definitely up there.
The biggest strength of the Razor 9mm is that when Pack-a-Punched it receives a massive buff to its hipfire accuracy. It does not completely eliminate hipfire spread, but it becomes significantly more accurate than most other weapons. Its DPS is also strong enough to carry players through the high rounds if upgraded accordingly, though its range drops off sharply beyond 10 meters. Unfortunately, it is not a wall buy on Ashes of the Damned.
VS Recon (Sniper Rifle)
|
Pack-a-Punch Variant |
Pack-a-Punch Effects |
|---|---|
|
Vscera Reconfigurator |
|
Moving away from automatic weapons now with the VS Recon, a bolt-action Sniper Rifle that may be flying under some players' radar, and for good reason. While it may not rack up as high a DPS as some other fast-firing weapons, for critical damage, the VS Recon is king even before it is Pack-a-Punched, dishing out a fairly consistent one-shot headshot kill for the first 10 rounds on base enemies without the need to upgrade, which is bound to save players' Essence and Salvage in the long run.
Of course, it only gets better when it is Pack-a-Punched, receiving a huge spike in damage that carries this one-shot capability even further, along with easily being able to eliminate multiple zombies lined up together with a single blow to the head. However, its main perk is its unique Pack-a-Punch ability, which eliminates the random bullet deviation most Snipers get when hipfiring, offering it 100 percent hipfire accuracy.
