Salvage is an essential part of Black Ops 7 Zombies, and it's how players are going to upgrade their weapon rarity, obtain Ammo Mods, and purchase Support items like scorestreaks and equipment. However, Salvage is a tad harder to find and far more necessary. The economy has tanked, and therefore, a lot more Salvage is needed if players want to make effective purchases to stay alive in the Dark Aether for a few rounds longer. How to Get Salvage in Black Ops 7 Zombies
There are four excellent ways of farming Salvage in Black Ops 7 Zombies, and each of them can bolster your currency so that you can purchase desired upgrades. Below, we'll outline each of the best ways to get Salvage in Black Ops 7 Zombies:
Equip Suppressors
Within your Zombies Loadout, you can head into the Gunsmith of your chosen weapon to equip a Suppressor Attachment. Suppressors have a chance to drop extra Salvage, and practically every weapon that's not a Rocket Launcher or a Melee Weapon can equip a Suppressor. You should always equip a Suppressor in the Muzzle Attachment of your weapons, as this will greatly increase the amount of salvage you will get when killing zombies. You can get a Suppressor on any gun simply by increasing the Weapon Level of your desired gun, which is achieved by getting kills with it through Multiplayer and Zombies. Each weapon has its own unique requirement, so it might be Level 2 to unlock, or even Level 18+.
Use the Vulture Aid Perk with the Carrion Luggage Augment
Vulture Aid is a Perk that can be found in the Zombies mode that, when you drink it, provides you with an increase in the variety of loot dropped by enemies. This already increases your odds of getting Salvage upon killing zombies, but it's made even greater if you use the Augment Research to get the Minor Augment: Carrion Luggage. Vulture Aid's Carrion Luggage increases the chance of getting extra Salvage with Critical Kills, which is headshots. For Ashes of the Damned, Vulture Aid can be found in Ashwood, in the upper east area of this landmark, in the Market Square location. Vulture Aid should be one of the first Perks you purchase if you want to get Salvage in the early rounds.
Complete T.E.D.D. Tasks
After Round 9, and usually every 4 Rounds, a T.E.D.D. Task will appear on the map, and the location is shown on your minimap through the HUD. You can activate a T.E.D.D. Trial by spending 500 Essence, and completing them has a dictated reward depending on how well you did. Most challenges just involve killing zombies with equipment or through displayed ways, and one of the rewards in the chest left behind is usually Salvage, or even a Tool used to upgrade your weapon.
Destroy Dark Aether Plants
In Ashes of the Damned, you can get Salvage through Dark Aether Plants. These plants are found through two methods. The first way to find Dark Aether Plants is to travel through the in-between locations in the map with Ol' Tessie, in which zombies are more aggressive as you cross the zones. During these road sections, you'll find Dark Aether Plants (pictured above), which you can drive into to destroy, and they often drop HP for Ol' Tessie, Essence, or Salvage. The other way to get Salvage from Dark Aether Plants is to locate the fumigator in the central locations, noted for its white outline and orange canister (pictured above), and then interact with it to pick it up. With the fumigator, interact with green plants found around the locations, primarily Janus Tower Plaza, to see purple-eyed zombies try to attack them while they grow. Defend the plant,s and once they explode, they should drop some Salvage.
What is Salvage Used for in Black Ops 7 Zombies?
Salvage is used to upgrade your Weapon Rarity and to purchase Ammo Mods, both from The Arsenal, a machine found in each of the locations of Ashes of the Damned. Salvage can also be used to purchase Scorestreaks and Lethal/Tactical Equipment from the Crafting Tables, also found throughout the map. Here's the cost of each tier of upgrades with Salvage:
