Long gone are the days of endless fights of the undead horde until they kill you, or you wish to end a match on your own terms through death. Black Ops 7 Zombies continues the formula of allowing for Exfil, which is a challenging method of escape that allows you to survive the fight without having to die or quit the match. How to Exfil in Ashes of the Damned
In Ashes of the Damned, there will be 3 telephone booths around the map. Players can interact with telephone booths to begin an Exfil, but Exfil will only be available every 5 rounds starting on Round 11. This means that you will get a notification saying that you can Exfil on Round 11, Round 16, Round 21, and so forth. There are only 3 places in Ashes of the Damned where you can use Exfil at the telephone booths, which are as follows:
- Janus Towers Plaza
- Blackwater Lodge
- Ashwood
Once you have interacted with the active telephone booth, and you might want to hurry as it's only active for a few minutes, and will become inactive if ignored, or if the Round changes, then it will be put to a vote. If you accepted the vote to Exfil, then you will be placed in a challenging encounter with a sole objective: Eliminate the HVT Near the Portal. The HVT will be a stronger version of the Zursa zombie bear, the Elite Enemy type of Ashes of the Damned. This beast is rather strong, so make sure you're using appropriate equipment, like Pack-a-Punched guns, Perks, Armor, and even Scorestreaks. You have 2 minutes to kill the HVT, and failing to do so will kill you and place you in a game over. If you are successful in killing the HVT, then you will be able to interact with the telephone booth to enter the Portal to the Safe House and receive the Successful Exfil game over screen. During the fight with the HVT, zombies will spawn, but they can be ignored as you only need to kill the HVT.
What Does Exfil Do in Black Ops 7 Zombies?
Exfil is a way for players to "win" on their own terms; instead of forcing them to die in a match, they can technically survive the round-based encounters by leaving. While you can't return to the match after an Exfil, you can get the satisfaction in knowing the undead did not slay you. By using an Exfil, you will also get some bonus XP, but it's not a drastic amount. There might also be a chance that you get a Gobblegum for your efforts, but we're not 100% sure on that. The best part of Exfil in Black Ops 7 Zombies is that it also allows individual players in a squad to leave when they've had enough in Public sessions, or with friends, as not everyone has to Exfil in Black Ops 7. This means that you can vote for an Exfil and leave, while your friends stay behind and continue the fight.
