In Black Ops Cold War, unlocking your full Scorestreak lineup at least once per match was almost guaranteed. However, those days are over, and in Black Ops 6, even accessing your first Scorestreaks can be a challenge, let alone reaching the second or third. Despite these limitations, we’ve found strategies to help you accumulate scores faster and unlock Scorestreaks more efficiently. But first, let’s review what’s changed about Scorestreak distribution compared to previous Black Ops titles.

Scorestreak Changes in Black Ops 6 Multiplayer

Earning Scorestreaks in Black Ops 6 is slower than in Cold War. This is because scores don’t carry over after death, and the new Specialty mechanic requires players to adopt a specific playstyle—or use certain perks—to boost their scores.

Players are calling on Treyarch to adjust multiplayer score distribution, suggesting that Scorestreak prices should be lowered or that scores for objectives and eliminations should be increased. However, a change to these mechanics seems unlikely at this point.

Fastest Way to Earn Scorestreaks

If you want to get Scorestreaks in Black Ops 6 multiplayer fast, play objective-focused matches with the Strategist Combat Specialty. Additionally, maximize your build's score collection potential by using optimized perks like Dispatcher.

Best Optimized Build for Farming Scorestreaks

dispatcher perk 2
  • Perks: Tac Mask, Dispatcher, Guardian
  • Combat Specialty: Strategist
  • Field Upgrade: Scrambler or Signal Lure
  • Scorestreaks: UAV or Counter UAV

For perks, go with an all-green, score-based setup: Tac Mask to survive enemy non-lethal attacks, Dispatcher to reduce the cost of non-lethal Scorestreaks like UAV or Scout Pulse, and Guardian to help you regenerate health while focusing on objectives—key for farming scores.

Running an all-green perk pack grants you the Strategist Combat Specialty. This gives you a score bonus for completing objectives or destroying enemy equipment. For example, in a Kill Confirmed match, you'll earn 50 scores for collecting a tag since that's your objective. Destroying enemy equipment earns you 50 points for the destruction and an additional 25-point bonus from your Specialty.

For score-optimized Field Upgrades, the best choices are Scrambler and Signal Lure. Scrambler creates a small area where enemy equipment and mini-maps malfunction. Every kill secured by you or your teammates in this area earns a score bonus. Signal Lure, while risky, offers high rewards. It makes you a bounty target for the enemy, but if you survive and kill them while it’s active, you’ll earn a higher score.

For initial Scorestreaks, opt for UAV, Counter UAV, or both. During their 30-second duration, every kill made by your team will earn you extra points. And that will contribute to your farming high-level Scorestreaks.

Other Reliable Perks for Scorestreak Farm

Green perks aside, the other top perks for farming Scorestreaks are Assassin and Bank Roll. Assassin marks enemies with three or more killstreaks on the map. Eliminating them and grabbing their duffle bag earns you 25 extra points for each of their streaks (e.g., 100 extra points for a streak of four). Bank Roll, meanwhile, gives you a 120-point head start every time you die, so you don’t have to start from zero.

Best Game Modes for Scorestreaks

To unlock Scorestreaks easily, play Kill Confirmed or Domination matches. These modes reward objective-focused players with higher scores for contributing to primary tasks. They also synergize well with the Strategist Combat Specialty, making them ideal for farming scores.

Tips for Accumulating More Scores in Multiplayer

Spy Cam in Black Ops 6
  • Use the Spy Cam to mark enemies. You'll earn a score bonus each time you ping an enemy, hostile equipment, or an opposing Scorestreak device. If you mark active enemies and they’re killed while marked, you’ll earn additional points.
  • Identify the map's choke points—areas where intense combat occurs. Placing your non-lethal or tactical equipment in these spots increases your chances of earning points.
  • Destroy enemy Scorestreaks. Shoot down their UAVs or other devices for extra points. Alternatively, place a SAM Turret in a strategic location to automatically target enemy Scorestreaks, allowing you to stay focused on the fight.
