Call of Duty has entered the chat once again. Modern Warfare 3 is here and is packed with action-filled gameplay and promising new features. The hype for the game was above the roof even before its release. The return of old maps and trickshotting has driven fans and players crazy.

Having the best weapons in the game is the key to success as they can provide significant advantages during gunfights. But some weapons might be untameable, no matter how great. Recoil can be a real problem as it decreases accuracy, making the weapon challenging to control. This guide helps players learn how to reduce the recoil and blast off.

Reducing Recoil in Modern Warfare 3

reducing recoil in mw3

Recoil can be infuriating sometimes as it makes it harder to control the gun and results in lousy accuracy, which could lead to players losing many gunfights. Here are some of the ways players can reduce the recoil of their weapons.

Attachments

The recoil of a gun can be minimized using different attachments such as the Underbarrel, Rear Grip, and Stock. These attachments can reduce the gun's kick and stabilize it even further. Attachments such as the barrel or muzzle also help decrease some firearms' recoil.

When building a weapon, it is best to look at the attachments' stats as they provide a clear message to players about the changes they will make to the weapon. This can help players reduce recoil while creating an overpowered weapon in-game.

Recoil Patterns

Some weapons have such a high recoil that even attachments can not control. The best way for players to counter the recoil of such weapons is to learn the recoil pattern. Once the patterns are understood, players can easily control the gun they want to use.

Settings

Some settings might help with the gun's visual recoil, meaning players will find it easy to control the weapon after messing around with some settings. The Field of View, or FOV, is the best setting the players can change. Setting it to anywhere between 95 and 105 can aid in reducing recoil.

Make sure to have the FOV on Affected instead of Independant.

Affected FOV reduces the visual recoil of the gun, giving players a better aim and the ability to counter the gun's kick. Players should also lower the camera speed to the lowest possible setting to add more stability to their gameplay.
