Zombies have become an iconic staple of the Call of Duty franchise ever since Treyarch’s World at War title. Whilst Zombies has received many different iterations over the years, with Treyarch and Sledgehammer usually taking turns with the reigns of the core game mode with some key changes, this is the first time that a Modern Warfare title will have zombies as a mode. Whilst players might be able to hop into the Modern Warfare 3 campaign first, they can enjoy the Zombies mode fairly soon, as long as they are ready to fight through the blood and guts of many infected to bask into the zombies content available. Although, players shouldn't expect the usual content that they expect, such as Round-Based maps.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Zombies will be released on console and PC the moment the game launches on November 10th. For consoles, Modern Warfare 3 will launch at midnight in each local region, unless players are in North America, where they can access the full launch of Modern Warfare 3 at these times:

  • November 9, 9 PM PT
  • November 9, 10 PM MT
  • November 9, 11 PM CT
  • November 10, 12 AM ET

Modern Warfare 3 launches worldwide on November 9th at 9 PM PT for PC players on both Steam and Battle Net, meaning that at these times, players will be able to jump straight into MW 3 Zombies and try and get that Ray Gun. However, this version of Zombies isn’t the usual time, and Modern Warfare Zombies is more in line with open-world missions and contracts.

When players download the Multiplayer and Zombies components for the Call of Duty application, players will be able to access the core game modes after they have purchased Modern Warfare 3. Modern Warfare Zombies doesn’t bolster the greatest content from the classic era of Treyarch’s bout with the series, but it’s a little something to tide players over until Treyarch is ready with their newest and most secretive Call of Duty title yet.
