With Season 3 on the horizon, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 & Warzone 2.0 gets a refreshed mid-season patch called Season 2 Reloaded. The update comes as a part of Activision's free content schedule, patching up minor issues, introducing new features, and—more importantly—celebrating Warzone’s third anniversary in March. Season 2 Reloaded Release Time in COD Warzone 2

The mid-season 2 update called Reloaded starts on March 15th at 9 AM pacific time. It’s a simultaneously released patch in Call of Duty MW2 & Warzone 2 that adds a new multiplayer map, weapon, and operator, along with Raid episode 2, Camo Challenges, and an anniversary event.

This is COD Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2’s second mid-season update, with the first one being in December 2022. In Season 1 Reloaded, players were introduced to a new operator, Klaus Fisker, and a new gun, Chimera.

Highlights of Season 2 Reloaded in Warzone 2

The highlights of this update are the addition of the Himmelmatt Expo map, The Tempus Torrent Marksman Rifle, and the brand-new social feature, Party Queuing. Other noteworthy changes are Raid Episode 2, Camo Challenge, and Anniversary Celebration.

The patch notes of COD Warzone 2 Season 2 Reloaded:

  • Himmelmatt Expo added to MW2 as a 6V6 Core Map.
  • The return of Drop Zone, All or Nothing, and One in the Chamber party game modes.
  • Warzone 2’s third-anniversary celebration. The event gifts players collectibles for seven days.
  • Path of the Ronin event expansion: The new Winds of Ash weapon Camo.
  • A new DMR, The Tempus Torrent.
  • The Shredder Operator and Bundle. Oroku (shotgun), Saki (assault rifle), and Steel Claws (melee).
  • Padraig’s Pandemonium Bundle, Tracer Pack. Off Kilter skin, Shamrock LMG blueprint, Scian combat knife blueprint.
  • Bone Chiller Bundle. Gilded Reaper Ghost skin, Skull Breaker, and Bone Shaker blueprints.
  • Generation XRX Bundle. 6 tactical wares for Farah plus Ectoplasmic and Resurge blueprints.
  • Raid Bundle. High Rise skin for Captain Price and Retrospective and 2019 SMG blueprints.
  • Deepwater Bundle with a new Ghost skin, Loch, and two blueprints: The Depths and The Tentacle.
  • Party Queuing feature for reserving a place in the lobby of a friend in a match.
  • Mangaka Call of Duty Artwork. A collection of Manga art inspired by COD Warzone Season 2.
  • Major III Call of Duty League.
  • Premium XP for Warzone 2.0 players who own MW2.
  • Shuriken’s temporary removal from the game.

With the Reloaded patch for Season 2, Activision aims to bring back a few iconic COD features from the previous games and a pack of fresh content. But it’s a welcomed change anyway, a change that could once again revive Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2’s online multiplayer as gamers prepare for Season 3.
