How To Open The Overlook Safe Room In CoD Warzone

Season 4 of Black Ops 6 and Warzone has officially launched, introducing a substantial wave of content for players to explore. While the spotlight at launch shines on new weapons like the FFAR 1, fresh Multiplayer maps, and the return of Grief mode in Zombies, Warzone also has a few things in store.

One of the biggest additions to Warzone in Season 4 is The Overlook, a towering skyscraper located in the Downtown area of Verdansk. While this location is sure to be a hot drop, The Overlook also hides a secret: a locked safe room packed with high-tier loot and exclusive rewards. Here’s how players can unlock The Overlook’s safe room in Warzone.

Step 1: Where To Find The Pool Balls

The first step in opening The Overlook's safe room is to locate at least two out of three Pool Balls. These Pool Balls are elusive items that can spawn in random locations throughout The Overlook. Typically, one spawns on the first floor, another in the second segment accessed via the elevator from the first floor, and a third somewhere on the roof of the POI.

Unfortunately, many of these spawn locations are random, and the Pool Balls themselves can be tricky to spot. However, here are some possible locations where players might find them:

Within the café, sitting atop a shelf just before the storage room on the first floor
Next to two red armchairs in the stairway leading from the second accessible floor to the third
In and around the plants at the center of the second accessible floor
Around the pyramid on the third accessible floor, accessed by ascending through the skylight from the second floor
On a shelf in the bottom-left corner of the roof
Next to a tarp in the bottom-right corner of the roof

Once players have found all three Pool Balls—or just two—they can move on to the next step.

Step 2: Where To Find Mysterious Keys

For the second step, players will need to find at least one of three Mysterious Keys within The Overlook. The Mysterious Keys actually share many of the same spawn locations as the Pool Balls, but there are a few additional spots players can check:

Inside the storage room of the café on the first floor
Within the Burger Town restaurant, accessible from the first floor
In either of the two stairways leading up from the second accessible floor to the third

While players are not required to collect these Keys to open the safe room itself, it is strongly recommended that they do so, as possessing one will upgrade the potential rewards they can receive.

Step 3: How To Open The Overlook Safe Room In Warzone

Now that players have looted enough Pool Balls and at least one Mysterious Keycard, they can finally open the safe room. To do this, players need to ascend all the way to the very top floor of The Overlook. Once there, players can head to the top right corner of the POI to find a locked door with a keypad next to it. This is the safe they need to open.

Ignore the keypad for now and head up the nearby flight of stairs leading to the Penthouse. Here, players will find a pool table and a set of shelves displaying several pool balls—three of which will have their numbers visible. Interacting with this shelf will place the remaining Pool Balls collected by the player, revealing a full six-digit code. The order in which the balls appear is the exact sequence needed to unlock the safe room.

Once the code is revealed, head back down to the keypad and enter it to open the safe room. In our case, the code was 647825, but the sequence will be random every game. If players were only able to find two out of the three Pool Balls, brute-forcing the code using known digits and testing possible combinations for the missing number could still be a viable method to gain access.

Step 4: How To Loot The Overlook Safe Room In Warzone

Once players unlock the safe room, they can freely loot a variety of high-tier items inside. Expect to find cash, Gas Masks, a Door Barricade Field Upgrade, a Hand Cannon, free Scorestreaks, and more. The key highlight of the safe room, however, has to be the three locked Supply Crates, which require a Mysterious Key to open. The rewards players can get from these crates are as follows:

Crate near the entrance: Contains a Hand Cannon, a Comms Vest, a Loadout Drop Marker, and Self-Revives (Self-Revives drops scale with squad size).
Middle crate: Holds a Specialist Pack, granting players every Perk in the game (Specialist Pack drops scale with squad size).
Final crate: Includes a Door Barricade, a Deployable Buy Station, and Gas Masks (Gas Mask drops scale with squad size).
