Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 – 9 Zombie Maps That Need Remakes

7 Der Riese
The Beginning of the Story With Group 935's Experiments and Richtofen's Betrayal
- Featured in: World at War, Black Ops, Black Ops 3
Der Riese was arguably the first map where the lore of Call of Duty Zombies started to take shape. Across the Group 935 facility, players could find set pieces that showcased what had happened to this facility, through the corpses and suicides of its members. The expansive teleporters told a story of German engineering with Element 115, and the radios further evolved the story.
Deep in the map in hidden spots, players could find radios in Der Riese that would detail the events of Doctor Maxis, Samantha Maxis, Fluffy, and Richtofen. These radios serve as a starting point for the Ultimis crew as they uncover the dark secret that Richtofen was responsible for Samantha’s control of the zombies, and the Hellhounds, all while Maxis tried to create zombie armies for the Nazis.
6 Moon
Complete Richtofen's Grand Scheme and Learn of Group 935's Griffin Station
- Featured in: Black Ops, Black Ops 3
Moon is an utterly thrilling experience for COD Zombies fans. Not only do they teleport into Area 51’s Groom Lake, where they must battle their way to the teleporter, but said teleporter takes them to Griffin Station which is none other than the Moon itself. Griffin Station holds many secrets, and this Group 935 facility on the Moon is incredibly expansive and rewarding to lore hunters, as after all these maps they can finally come face-to-face with Samantha Maxis, the antagonist of it all.
10 Best Call Of Duty Zombies Wonder Weapons
Kill zombies with ease thanks to the greatest Wonder Weapons in Call of Duty, which can easily snap, crackle, and pop hordes of undead.
Moon harbors other radios that hold importance in divulging the creation of this secret Moon base, but the main importance of it all is Richtofen’s Grand Scheme, which involves trading souls, harnessing the power of an ancient other-worldly pyramid, and finishing it all off by literally blowing up the Earth. It’s incredibly rewarding, and a great finale to the Ultimis crew.
5 Origins
The Crew Begin Anew in an Excited Reimagining
- Featured in: Black Ops 2, Black Ops 3
The Ultimis timeline has closed, and as such, a new beginning takes hold in a different dimension, one where the fates of Richtofen, Dempsey, Nikolai, and Takeo are entwined. The origins of Group 935 in this dimension have awoken a great evil of a zombie horde in the midst of World War 1, and through the trenches, players will uncover the secrets of this new universe, and the familiarity of the old one with Samantha Maxis’ ask for help.
Origins involves players building Elemental Staffs and creating a gateway to Agartha to finally be free of the zombie plagues. The origins of Primis is an incredible journey for Call of Duty Zombies, and the lore discoveries involved in the map through radios and its quest are exceptional.
4 Revelations
A Culmination of COD Zombies History Combined Into One Extensive Finale
- Featured in: Black Ops 3
Every map in Call of Duty Zombies has led to this moment, where it’s finally time to join Doctor Mounty, take to the House, and put an end to the ancient evil of the Apothicons with Primis’ immortal souls. Revelations are the culmination of a decade of maps and stories, and Revelations serves everyone well with satisfying conclusions and interesting lore pieces that combine almost every map from the past.
Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 – Best Zombies Maps, Ranked
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 has one of the most beloved Zombies modes in the franchise's history, but how does every map rank to decide the best?
Revelations excels at its celebration of COD Zombies' history, all the way back to Nacht der Untoten to the more recent Gorod Krovi. The radios and other lore bits really serve the story well, and players conclude the story in a battle against the Shadowman and put an end to the Dark Aether threats once and for all.
3 Alpha Omega
Broken Arrow, Avogadro, Peter McCain, and More Are Answered Here
- Featured in: Black Ops 4
Ultimis and Primis have joined forces in preparation for the Great War, and their combined efforts have taken them to Camp Edward, also known as Nuketown. This revised landmark holds many diabolical secrets, from the A.D.A.M. Units, to the return of Peter McCain, and of course, the dreaded Avogadro, who just so happens to be the former director of Broken Arrow, Cornelius Pernell.
Alpha Omega is one of the perfect maps for its lore, as the easter eggs and radios found within divulge so many secrets and help players resolve so many questions that they once had. It’s a map that attempts to clean the timeline somewhat against its many fractures, and it does so well, even if the Nova Six zombies are as annoying as ever.
2 Buried
The Finale to Maxis vs. Richtofen With Important Origins to the Pack-a-Punch
- Featured in: Black Ops 2
Buried is one of the heights of the Call of Duty Zombies storylines, and shows how wacky it can truly get. Upon a first playthrough, Buried is just an American town from the Old West that has somehow found itself within the Earth of Africa. Yet, the map is much deeper than this, as it details the creation of the Pack-a-Punch and Vrill Device from Jebediah Brown, and how these creations resulted in a surge that teleported this Old West town.
Buried has so much to unpack in its punch, and it’s also the conclusion of the Victis story, where players are tasked with aiding Maxis or Richtofen to either weaken the mad German’s connection to Agartha or strengthen it. The canon ending is to weaken it, which sees Samantha freed to enter the House, while Maxis stays to control the zombie hordes, leaving Victis for dead, and Richtofen’s soul to wander.
1 Blood of the Dead
A Map That Explains Mob of the Dead and Changes the Future of Primis
- Featured in: Black Ops 4
Set between the events of Zetsobou No Shima and Gorod Krovi, Blood of the Dead takes the Primis crew through a portal to a pocket dimension where they must retrieve the blood vials to survive the erasing timeline at the hands of Dr. Monty. Yet, plans change, and as such, so has the Kronorium. Delaying the usual cycle, Primis is trapped in Alcatraz, with the Warden, Brutus, seeking RIchtofen’s blood for the Apothicons.
Blood of the Dead holds many occult secrets dealing with the lore behind the Warden and his pact with the Shadowman to create this pocket dimension. From Richtofen’s lab that holds the cryogenically frozen bodies of Victis, to the spirits of the Mob of the Dead crew, there’s so much to unpack in Blood of the Dead, and perhaps the most emotional ending of the series with Richtofen’s sacrifice, and the beginning of a broken cycle with Nikolai’s great importance taking charge.
