In every Soulslike game, players will come across locked doors that require keys to open. Code Vein 2 follows the same pattern, and players will encounter a locked door fairly early in the game. During the tutorial section of the game, when players are traveling with Noah, their main objective will be to make their way to the MagMell building.
While following the main path, players might notice a large tower on their right that appears to be locked and cannot be opened without a key. Here is how players can find the key to open this in Code Vein 2.
Where to Find Forma Storage Tower Key in Code Vein 2
Upon interacting with the Forma Storage Tower for the first time, you will see a pop-up on your screen stating that a key is required. If you interact with it a few more times, Noah will suggest that the key could be in the surrounding area and that you should look for it. If you searched the area and did not find the key, do not be confused, as the key was not there in the first place. Your partner uses the same voice line whenever you encounter any locked door requiring a key.
The key for the Forma Storage Tower is tied to the main story of the game. After reaching the MagMell building for the first time, you will be properly introduced to Valentin, and he will ask for your help. You need to visit two excavation sites: the ruins and the water treatment plant. Both of these areas contain dozens of enemies, so it is best to upgrade your weapon and equipment from Jadwiga before going.
You can also change your appearance at the table located to the left of the building. Head left from the Mistle, go up the stairs, and head left through the door to spot the blue doorway curtains. Inside, you will find a room filled with dressing tables.
Once you visit both of these locations and clear out the enemies, you will have to defeat bosses that hold Formae needed by the NPCs from MagMell. After completing this request, head back to Valentin, and he will give you the key to the tower, mentioning that it is a repository where Formae are stored.
You can now head over to the Forma Storage Tower and open it to complete the first segment of the story.
