Code Vein arrived in September, offering players a brand new hardcore-JRPG experience with the type of brutal difficulty and boss roster that fans of similar games are used to. While there is plenty to do throughout the extensive storyline, as well as a host of other obstacles for players to overcome once the game has been finished, there hasn't been much to keep fansengaged for a while.

According to a recent tweet by the Code Vein twitter account, however, there is some new content coming in the near future. The first DLC installment is set to roll out in early 2020, with two more updates following suit shortly after.

It isn't quite clear yet what will be coming in each installment, but according to the tweet there will be new bosses, new stages, and new story content, hopefully including new Blood Cores and Skills as well. Exactly how much new content will be in each DLC is still to be determined and new stages and bosses could simply mean new depths maps for players to explore. However, the fact that there will be new story content does imply that the new areas might be somewhat more substantial than just getting a new depths map with a powerful new boss at the end.

While new Code Vein bosses are the most notable topics, the new NPC costumes and customization parts are some other interesting additions that are coming to the game with the next set of DLC. Currently there is only one customization option available for any NPC, and that would be Mia's alternate costume available for owners of the Code Vein Deluxe Edition that swaps out her black coat for a white one. What's more surprising is that some of the new customization parts seem to also be coming in a separate free title update coming at some point in December, along with a photo mode.

For a game that already had tons of content right up front, and secrets scattered throughout the world, Code Vein's DLC is sure to satisfy fans with whatever new content it delivers. With any luck, the best thing that the new content can bring is a challenging new boss that can put the skills players have honed since Code Vein released to the test. Although, it is still too early to properly speculate on exactly what might be in the works at the moment, and fans will just have to wait anxiously for now.
