With over 300 armor to choose from, you'll have more than enough equipment for your character and your party members in Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time. In Fantasy Life i, there are nine categories of armor. While you can purchase armor from Armories or Marco's Shop, you'll want to forge your own gear to guarantee higher defense, magic defense, and potential skills.

Every Armor in Fantasy Life i
Where to Find All Armor
Each time you start a Life, you'll unlock armor pertaining to that Life. When you reach Adept rank of any Life, you'll receive a new set of armor. Finally, you'll get rare-tier armor/clothing when you reach Master rank. You'll also unlock the crafting recipes, allowing you to make Life-themed gear from scratch.
Below is a list of all the armor and how to unlock their crafting recipes. Armor is split into nine categories in Fantasy Life i, allowing you to potentially equip 8-9 pieces per Life.

Head
Armor that uses the Head slot on your Equipment menu. While most of these are hats and helms, you may get an accessory such as the White Cat Ears or hair ornaments.
You may get an armor drop from clearing the rubble at your Base Camp. Clearing rubble requires the help of Strangelings, which you can restore to their normal form at the Goddess Statue.

You can change between day and night in Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals TIme.
Shield
Shields are a special type of armor in that they can only be equipped by the Paladin Life. Any buddies with the Paladin Life can also wear shields. You'll want to equip a shield with good stats and skills since it can block enemy attacks in combat.
Keep in mind that shields won't nullify incoming damage entirely. You may still take 1 point of damage from a low-level enemy when guarding with your shield.
