In advance of Concord's upcoming Early Access beta weekend, Firewalk Studios reveals the complete system requirements for PC players in order to reach various settings. After its reveal at Sony's May State of Play, Concord has had no shortage of criticism aimed at it from fans. The live service hero shooter revealed a big character-driven story trailer, giving many fans a Guardians of the Galaxy vibe, only for the following gameplay trailer to reveal a hero shooter. While not free-to-play like Valorant, Marvel Rivals, Overwatch 2, or the countless other games in this genre, Concord is attempting to add its own spin through adding weekly cinematic vignettes to push the game's narrative forward.

Regardless of fan first impressions, players will be able to go hands on with the game very soon to see how it plays. Concord revealed Early Access beta details including the start date of July 12 for those who preordered any edition of the game and then July 18 for everyone else. The entire 16 character roster will be available for beta players across 5 maps and 3 different game modes, like the Kill Confirmed inspired Trophy Hunt and the no-respawn 1 Bomb style Cargo Run. Following that announcement, Firewalk has finally announced the various system requirements PC players will need to achieve in order to play the game this month.

In a post on the official Concord Twitter account, Firewalk Studios has revealed the list of system requirements, many of which may tax a PC players rig for those who don't have top of the line hardware. At the very least, PC players will need an Intel Core i7 or AMD Ryzen 7 as well as a 30GB SSD hard drive. Curiously, Concord does not reveal how or if it's possible to go above 60 FPS for players who want to push the game further, though it is possible that the requirements could change following the beta sessions as Concord approaches its August launch date.

For all of the following requirements, Concord recommends all settings use Broadband internet connection as well as have Full DirectX 12 Compatibility for the best results. The broadband requirement shouldn't be a surprise considering that Concord is an online-only multiplayer shooter.

While not truly free-to-play, Concord does utilize the live-service model with future updates planned that will be at no extra cost. However, Concord will have a monetization system where players can purchase microtransactions. Concord IP director Kim Kreines recently clarified that these microtransactions will be purely cosmetic, similar to Overwatch 2, and offer no gameplay impacting benefits. In fact, the team is planning for Concord to feel content-complete on day 1 with 16 total characters, 12 maps, and 6 different modes, so players won't have to purchase anything extra if they don't want to.
