Content Warning is essentially a cooperative horror game that is similar to Lethal Company, but here, you will need to film monsters instead of just running away from them. There can be up to 4 people in a team, and with this squad, you can go on a journey to create unique content for your viewers.

Some may be unsure about whether they can play Content Warning solo, and since this is a rather important question that may deter or encourage gamers to give this title a try, this guide will provide a detailed answer.

Can You Play Solo In Content Warning?

Although the game is designed for cooperative play and even the first task that appears at launch will encourage you to "Invite your friends," you can ignore this rule and go to the old world alone. It's worth noting that filming a video alone is much harder and scarier than with friends because you'll be the only one among the monsters. If you don't know how to start the game alone, here are some detailed instructions:

  • Launch Content Warning.
  • In the main menu, interact with the first option that says, "Play With Friends."
  • In the next menu, you will be asked to create a "Host Private Game," so choose the desired slot to save and start the game.
  • When this is done, you will be spawned in the house on the second floor.
  • Now, go down to the first floor and interact with the front door.
  • When you do, a notification will appear on the screen asking if you are sure you want to start the game.
  • Click "Start Game" and the door will open, after which you will have access to all the features and options, just like in multiplayer.

After completing these steps, you can take the camera and go to the old world alone to try to capture interesting shots. Be very careful when you go down alone for the first time because, basically, all you will have with you is an old flashlight and a camera. If you manage to shoot a video and get to the surface, upload it to spook-tube to get paid.

Tips For Playing Content Warning Solo

When playing alone, you need to spend the money you receive from advertising rationally. In this case, it's not recommended to buy anything but lighting equipment because almost all other items and emotes will only be useful in co-op and not in solo play.

Focus on buying flashlights to cover as much ground as possible, and don't forget to buy a Shock Stick to be able to resist monsters. The advantage of playing alone is that you can spend all the money you earn exclusively on yourself, but it's up to you to decide whether it's worth it to play without friends.
