Developer Devsisters has added new steel-type cookies to the popular free-to-play game Cookie Run: Kingdom. The new element dropped recently, and many Cookie Run: Kingdom fans have taken to social media to comment on the new addition.

Devsisters’ game blends RPG and city-building elements, allowing players to collect and upgrade a wide range of cookies in Cookie Run: Kingdom, each with unique abilities and roles that include Attack, Defense, Healing, Support, and more. By collecting these cookies through the game’s gacha system, players build their own kingdoms, expanding their territory and decorating it as they please. Guild fighting, a PvP arena where players battle it out and climb the scoreboard, a campaign with a plot, and several time-limited events are some of the activities the game offers. In order to keep players hooked, the developer releases updates pretty frequently, adding new content and features—and now it has brought something new for fans.

As pointed out by Reddit user Saralily_Fairies09, Devsisters dropped the new steel element in its popular game Cookie Run: Kingdom. In the game, cookies feature a type and an element, defining their role in combat as well as the kind of Skill Powder they require to level up their skill. Elements are an additional factor when dealing damage—an attack type that includes Light, Poison, Fire, Water, Earth, Ice, Electricity, Darkness, Wind, and now Steel.

Some were surprised to see Cookie Run: Kingdom cookies like Muscle, Werewolf, or Avocado added to the category, as they seem to have nothing to do with steel. In addition to the new type, Devsisters has been adding a lot of new content recently, like the Fire Spirit Cookie in The Flame Awakens update for Cookie Run: Kingdom in April 2025, which also introduced the Agar Agar Epic Cookie, which can mimic the skills of others.
