The well-loved costume feature from Cookie Run Ovenbreak has finally arrived to Cookie Run Kingdom. Many of these new costumes are fitting with the Halloween season while others are more suited for more all-year usage. In order to get these costumes though, players need to unlock the boutique.
The boutique in Cookie Run Kingdom is essentially another gacha system, connected through the gacha menu. It won't be available off the bat though, with even the unlocking quest not available for brand new players.
In order to get the prompt for the boutique unlocking quest, players must have their game updated to the latest version. They must also get through the story mode up until at least past World Exploration Stage 2-13.
Boutique Unlock Quest - Final Preparations
Once players get past World Exploration Stage 2-13, a new quest prompt will appear on the right side of the screen. Selecting it will give a story cutscene starring a new Cookie who wants to start her own boutique.
In order to build the boutique, players need to make and have possession of five jars of Sweet Jelly Jam. These can be made with six Jellybeans by using a Jammery at least at level two. At base, each Sweet Jelly Jam will require eight minutes to complete. If players already have five jars of Sweet Jelly Jam before starting the quest, it can still be completed without players needing to make new batches.
After completing the quest, players will get access to the costume gacha, which can be found in the normal gacha menu under the costume tab.
Costume Gacha
Pulls from the costume gacha can be made with a new currency returning from Cookie Run Ovenbreak known as Rainbow Cubes. Each pull from either the featured costumes or normal costumes cost 300 Rainbow Cubes each. These can be gotten from the gacha mileage for 25 mileage points each, bought through packages, or gotten through event rewards.
Costumes by themselves don't provide any kind of special buffs like they do in Ovenbreak. They do, however, give minor buffs if players manage to get all of the costumes within a costume set. This is similar to the Cookie buffs gotten from owning and promoting certain groups of Cookies. Equipping the costumes in the specific sets are not needed in order to get the buffs, as just owning them is enough.
Cookie Run Kingdom is available on Android and iOS devices.
