Cookie Run Kingdom: Pure Vanilla Cookie Build and Best Toppings

Pure Vanilla Cookie is an Ancient cookie in Cookie Run Kingdom that can keep any team live during a battle, if he is properly built for the mission.

Dark Cacao is a Charge-type Ancient Cookie who fights from the front lines. He’s one of the five Ancient Heroes in Cookie Run: Kingdom’s lore and a solid tank if built right. His main skill, Dark Blade, lets him use his Grapejam Chocoblade to land heavy hits on enemies. Not only does this deal great damage, but it also lowers the enemy’s Attack and Defense stats for a short time. On top of that, he gives enemies a Consuming Darkness debuff, which cuts down their Critical Hits and Healing ability. Plus, Dark Cacao’s attack zaps enemies, breaking their HP shield and lowering their max HP—making it easier for your other Cookies to finish the fight.

Here's a quick overview of Dark Cacao Cookie's base skill stats:

best toppings build for dark cacao cookie in cookie run kingdom

Currently, Dark Cacao Cookie doesn’t have its own special Resonant Topping, so you’ll need to stick with the regular ones. The best topping build depends on your team’s strategy. So, if you already have strong attackers on the front and middle lines, go with Epic Solid Almond toppings. These increase his damage resistance, giving him more time to stay in the fight and make full use of his skills.

If you’d rather boost his offense, Searing Raspberry can also be a solid pick to increase his attack power. But if you're not sticking to a specific strategy, Swift Chocolate is easily one of the best toppings for Dark Cacao in Cookie Run: Kingdom. It lowers his cooldown so he can use his skill more often. Just make sure to use a full set of Epic (Swift Chocolate M) in all five slots.

First things first, you can level up Dark Cacao from one to 90 in the Cookie Menu to increase his overall power. After that, upgrade him to make his Dark Blade skill even stronger, and awaken him using Soulprisms to boost his Power, HP, ATK, and DEF.

Once you’ve picked your toppings, don’t forget to pair them with a Topping Tart. For example, if you’re using Solid Almond M, go with Solid Almond Tart M. Same goes for Swift Chocolate M and Searing Raspberry M —match them with Swift Chocolate Tart M or Searing Raspberry Tart M. Also, giving him Tainted Dark Chewy Beascuits will grant him Dark damage by 20%.
