Many Cookie Run: OvenBreak fans are unhappy about the new blessing system, claiming it is detrimental to competitive players. Cookie Run: OvenBreak released a new update on January 25, which, among other additions, introduced a revamped blessing system that seems to be negatively affecting the game experience for certain players.

The mobile Cookie Run series has spanned multiple entries, including OvenBreak. This one features a real-time PvP mode along with a guild system, allowing OvenBreak players to control different cookies in order to earn Crystals. Since its release, the game has received several updates, with the latest introducing major changes to how the blessing system works. Even though this change was aimed at bringing a refreshed (and improved) experience to the game, many aren’t happy about it.

Some Cookie Run: Kingdom Players Claim They've Lost Progress Since the Latest Update

Some Cookie Run: Kingdom players claim they have lost all their progress after installing the latest update, warning others on social media.

A user known as Remarkable_Debt_2348 took to Reddit to complain about Cookie Run: OvenBreak’s new blessing system, calling it “awful.” The post sparked a wave of comments from fans echoing the player’s sentiment. One fan argued that the changes are detrimental to competitive gameplay, as they affected the way top players are determined. Prior to the update, top users were ranked based on who collected the most Cookie Run jellies. But now, it all comes down to who has the best blessings, which the fan considers to be unfair.

Another player drew attention to the new RNG, explaining that it now takes a ridiculous number of blessing tickets to get a special blessing, while others mentioned having spent more than 100 million Cookie Run: OvenBreak coins to obtain the special blessing and still didn’t get it. Several other players were simply frustrated by this development, feeling completely puzzled as to why Devsisters would introduce such a damaging change for competitive gameplay.

In addition to the revamped blessing system, the January 25 update expanded the Cookie Run: OvenBreak costume selection with new Super Epic and Epic options for players. It also introduced the fresh Yugwa Cookie and a new pet called Slapstick, along with a new epic treasure. Additionally, players can look forward to new events like the Thief at Large in Yakgwa Village and the New Year's Fortune Telling, as well as fresh trials, jelly sets, and lobby designs.

Moreover, new content was added for the final Trophy Race Land, including Mysterious Yogurt Dunes, Bamboo Wilds, Crystal Pudding Cave, and Legendary Sacred Forest. While players can still enjoy all these new additions, many are waiting for Devsisters to address their concerns about the blessing system. Fans are confused about the developer's intentions with the competitive play, and it is unclear if Devsisters will make any further changes.
