Coral Island is an adorable and heartwarming farming simulator that features a vibrant tropical island. As players move to the overrun farmlands to escape the hectic city routine, they must build a new life from scratch.

Coral Island gives players the freedom to bring their vision of a perfect homestead to life and build their dream farm. However, players will first need to clear the ruined lands before they can develop a farm. Like most farming games, Coral Island focuses on growing crops, constructing farm buildings, and customizing the farm’s layout for maximum profits. This could get overwhelming really quickly, which is why this guide focuses on the best layout for the player’s farm to boost productivity.

Best Farm Layout in Coral Island

Given the massive size of the farmland, it can take quite some time to clear the rocks and overgrown plants. If they’re in a hurry, players can craft small explosives to easily clear everything on the land.

Before beginning to design and decorate the farm, players should familiarize themselves with the land. By simply pressing the P key on the keyboard, players can get a bird’s eye view of their entire farmland. This would help them get a sense of their surroundings and make it easy to design the perfect farm layout.

Next, players should section off different areas for crops, animals, and farm buildings and build pathways. A well-laid-out farm can save time by making it easier to move between different areas of the farm.

For beginners, it is better to start off with a basic farm layout that can be managed effectively. Before they plant any seeds, players should craft a Makeshift Scarecrow. This can be done by using 15 pieces of Wood and 10 Trash. Planting crops around a scarecrow is an excellent way to protect the crops from being eaten by crows. A Makeshift Scarecrow covers all tiles in a 5x5 area.

Next, players must include a basic Sprinkler I that automatically waters crops every morning. This can be crafted using 10 Scrap, 5 Bronze kelp, and 5 Silver kelp and waters 8 tiles around it. Four sprinklers can be placed within the radius of one makeshift scarecrow. Even though sprinklers are hard to get in the early game, this is an ideal crop-planting layout.

When they’re just starting out, players may not have enough resources or money to bring in fancy equipment for their farm. But as the farm evolves, they can unlock more crafting recipes and even construct farm buildings for a more well-rounded farm layout.
