There’s so much players can do when they settle down in Coral Island. From repairing the farmhouse to building strong friendships with the townsfolk, the game offers a completely immersive and interactive experience. Players even get invited to the local events in Starlet Town. Each season features unique events called Festivals.
One such festival in Coral Island is the Harvest Festival. It is the first celebration of Fall, where all of Starlet Town gathers to display their harvests. The Harvest Festival takes place on Fall 15 in Alun-Alun Square, near the Lake. It features several fun activities, such as Apple Bobbing, Smashing Pumpkins, and the Harvest Display Contest. This guide contains everything players need to know to win the Harvest Display Content at the Harvest Festival.
Coral Island: The 12 Best Romances
Coral Island has a gorgeous setting, beautiful gameplay, and many NPCs; most of whom are dateable. These are the best romances the game has to offer.
Updated on September 17, 2024, by Anastasia Maillot: One of the toughest parts about the Coral Island Harvest Festival is actually winning in the player's first year. Without a bit of foresight and preparation, it can be downright impossible. Because of that, the guide has been updated with a special strategy to employ in the very first year, as well as a helpful link to a fan-made calculator that can check your points ahead of time so there won't be any surprises.
Criteria for the Harvest Display Contest
Categories, Points, And Factors
Once they arrive at the Harvest Festival, players will find some empty crates to put items inside which enables their entry. To enter the Harvest Display Contest, players need to place their best products in these boxes – ideally, one item from each of the six following categories:
- Fruits
- Flowers
- Vegetables
- Artisan products
- Barn products (any wool, milk, truffle, or Gesha coffee bean)
- Coop products (any type of egg or feather)
Mayor Connor has invited the legendary farmer, Jeff Smith, to be the judge for the Harvest Display Contest. The products will be judged on three factors.
- Variety – If players bring an item for each category, they’ll already have a higher chance of winning, as they will receive a minimum of 6 points for each of the products, which equals an additional 36 points.
- Base Price – If players bring higher-priced items, they have a better chance of getting a higher score. Players should bring items that cost at least 400 coral coins.
- Quality – This is the most important factor in the harvest evaluation. If players bring in items of osmium quality, their chances of getting a high score and winning the contest increase massively. For an osmium-quality item worth 400 coral coins, players can get 25 additional points.
The islander will be competing against a farmer named Bobby, who comes from Beluga Bay and takes part in the harvest contest every year. Players need to be well-prepared and bring the best items in each category if they want to win against him.
Bobby brings a selection of produce from his own farm and is judged based on the same criteria as the players. Every year, Bobby’s entries are chosen randomly from varying sets, which is why his points vary. Players need to beat Bobby’s total score for each year if they want to win.
| Years | Bobby’s Score |
| Year 1 | 96 points |
| Year 2 | 130 points |
| Year 3+ | 148 points |
Depending on the year, players need to bring the following items if they want to top Bobby’s score.
| Years | What to Bring |
| Year 1 | 6 silver quality items |
| Year 2 | 6 gold quality items |
| Year 3+ | 2 osmium quality items with high base prices 4 gold quality items with regular base prices |
Players need to bring more high-priced and high-quality items to stand a better chance of winning the contest.

First-Year Harvest Festival Strategy
How To Beat Bobby In Year 1 Of Harvest Festival In Coral Island
- Grow rice and pumpkin to turn them into silver-quality sake and gold-quality juice
While it's not the end of the world if players don't win the first year, some might want to get a headstart against Bobby. Luckily, it's not that hard. Keep in mind that this strategy will not help players earn the highest rewards, but will guarantee a win at any cost.
There are three things you will need: rice, pumpkins, and kegs. Rice is available at the start of Fall, and once placed in kegs can be turned into sake. Fertilizers and crop quality upgrades at the lab will be a great help here to ensure you actually hit the required quality tiers.
After five sakes and one pumpkin juice, you're basically done. What about diversity, you might ask? The bonus points gained from diversity aren't actually that substantial, so in your first year, if you're just setting out to win at any cost, you can ignore the variety bonus and bring six items from the same category. This is especially helpful in the first year when players might not have that many crops or artisan products yet.
Before the festival, you can use this fan-made Google Sheet calculator by dogtor.biscuit to check your points. If they're above Bobby's maximum for that year (see the table above for points), then you're good to go for Year 1.
