Coral Island is a game about farming, planting, and falling in love in a new home on a tropical island. All is not well on this beautiful island; however, there are some issues with Mother Nature. In order to get her powers back, the local goddess asks players to help by giving plants to her altars at the Lake Temple.
To do this, players will need to buy seeds, farm them, and forage for those that can't be bought. While the first four items for the summer Sesajen are pretty easy to come across, the shallot can be a very difficult one to find in this Stardew Valley-like farm simulation Coral Island.
The Sesajen in Coral Island
Sesajan is a word from the Malayo-Polynesian language called Javanese; it is the word for "offering" as in something a person might offer at a temple. These are almost always food items. In the successfully Kickstarted Coral Island, the Sesajen altars are found at the Lake Temple in the northeastern part of the map of town and players will need to collect seasonal foods and flowers to bring to them. For the first year, the goddess will ask for some basic plants that can be found at Sam's store or located in the foraging spots around town.
- The Essentials - Wood, stone, fiber, sap, maple seeds, oak seeds, pine cones
- Spring - Radish, morel mushroom, carrot, Daisy, Wasabi
- Summer - Blueberry, hot pepper, bronze-level sunflower, shallot, hibiscus
- Fall - Pumpkin, black trumpet mushroom, bronze-level rice, orchid, fig
- Winter - Watermelon, garlic, fairy rose, kale, brussel spouts
- Ocean - Sea salt, Calico Scallop, Eastern Oyster, Blue Mussel, Purple Sea Urchin
Where to Find Shallots on Coral Island
In summer, players can find hot pepper, blueberry, and sunflower seeds all at Sam's grocery store during summer months. Hibiscus flowers must be foraged in this video game around town, growing right out of the ground. But the shallots are a little harder to find for players because they only seem to grow in very specific spots. Here are some places to forage for shallots on Coral Island.
- Over in the grasses by the Caverns to the northwest of the town on Coral Island.
- Over in the forest past the ranch to the west of town, just north of the overlook.
- Any location that is shadowed by trees that is not the player's farm.
At the time of this writing, it seems the best overall place of all these to find shallots is the forest south of the Cavern in this Stardew Valley-style game Coral Island. They can appear anywhere there is grass on the island, but they are best found among the trees.
Coral Island is available for PC, PC Game Pass, and coming soon to Nintendo Switch.
