Where to Get Plank in Core Keeper

In the underworld of Core Keeper, there’s no way to obtain Planks naturally. Occasionally, You can find this resource in some boxes or chests, but the chances are slim. Unlike Tin, which can be found when exploring, the only reliable way to obtain Planks is to craft them in the Table Saw.

To craft the Table Saw, you’ll first need to craft a few other things, starting with the Copper Workbench. It’ll cost you 8 Wood and 6 Copper Bar, which shouldn’t be a problem if you’ve been gathering resources in the early stages of Core Keeper.

Build the Electronics Table using 8x Wood and 8x Copper bars from the Copper Workbench. Interact with the Electronics Table, and you’ll get the option to build the Table Saw. To make this workbench, you’ll need 8x Wood, 5x Copper Bar, and 5x Iron Bar.

Iron Ore, which you’ll need to craft Iron Bars, isn’t easy to come by in the first biome. You’ll need to reach The Forgotten Ruins before this crafting resource becomes available.

If you’ve got the resources ready, unlock the Table Saw and set it on your base. Interacting with the Table Saw opens up the Wood Cutting crafting menu, where you can convert 1x Wood to 1x Plank. But there’s one more step before you can start making Plank in Core Keeper.

You’ll notice that the Table Saw, just like the other crafting tables from the Electronics Table, requires electricity to function. So you’ll need to make a Generator and connect it to the Table Saw using Electrical Wire to start using it. Once that’s done, you can head to the Wood Cutting crafting menu by interacting with the Table Saw.

Place the Wood from your inventory into the crafting slot, and the Table Saw will start turning them into Planks for you.

  • Cattle Transport Box
  • Cartography Table
  • Distillery Table
  • Roofing Gadget
