Developed with LG technology, the Corsair XENEON Flex 45WQHD240 sports a 45-inch screen ideal for gaming. The world's first bendable gaming monitor comes with protective blue light to reduce the likelihood of eye strain. In its flat state, it is a modern looking panel with slim bezels all around and a robust stand that has some I/O at the front and the monitor’s connectivity options at the back. Now this does mean that you cannot mount the monitor on a monitor arm and are basically stuck with the included stand that doesn’t do much in terms of ergonomics. You can tilt the display a little, but other than that, there are no adjustments.
On either side of the screen, you will see two handles that are hidden away when not in use. These handles allow you to pull the screen from either side and have a curved display instead of a flat one. Corsair says it can give you up to an 800R curvature, so at 45 inches, the Xeneon Flex will fill your peripheral vision.
Even besides the flexibility, it is an excellent gaming display with a 240Hz refresh rate and lightning-fast OLED response times of 0.03ms (GtG). It is a 3440x1440 display with 1000 nits peak HDR brightness and 100% sRGB coverage. You also get Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium for a smooth gameplay experience. Corsair is using an LG OLED, so expect excellent quality, along with protection features like Burn-in protection, Zero Dead Pixel guarantee, and three-year warranty with 24/7 support.
For connectivity, the Corsair Xeneon Flex comes with two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4 port, and a USB Type-C DP alt mode port. There are two USB 3.2 ports and another USB Type-C port at the back as well. The front gives you two more USB 3.2 ports, a headphone jack, an input selection button, and power button.
So, what you get with the Xeneon Flex is an excellent gaming display that can be flat or curved whenever you want. The flexing mechanism is not the smoothest or the quietest, but it works as intended. You can stop at any point and get a wider curvature instead of going to the full 800R.
