Finance VP Ronald van Veen stated that he expected GTA 6 to come to PC in early 2026 in a February 2025 earnings call. That would mean the game would move beyond consoles quicker than many expected, as previous titles took over six months to land on PC. Rockstar itself had not commented on a likely release timeline for the PC port, so the comment made many people wonder if Corsair, as a PC gaming company, had inside information on the game's development.

The only thing fans know for sure about the PC release is that it will come after the game drops on consoles. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has stated that it's standard practice for GTA titles to skip PC at launch because the games tend to drive console sales. Focusing on Xbox and PlayStation first helps Rockstar capitalize on that opportunity early before expanding to the PC market.
