Juice Jems in Crashlands 2 power up Flux's Infinisuit, giving players small but meaningful upgrades that will help a lot during their adventure. However, these things don't go on trees, and you'll have to spend a decent chunk of time exploring the world if you want to find them.
Finding and collecting Juice Jems in Crashlands 2 is a fairly simple affair, but nevertheless, here's a quick guide containing tips on how to find and get these useful upgrade materials.
Interview: Crashlands 2 Creative Director Talks Making a True Sequel
The Best War Games sits down with Butterscotch Shenanigans creative director Sam Coster to discuss Crashlands 2's massive improvements over the original.
Where to Find Juice Jems in Crashlands 2
Juice Jems appear as large, diamond-shaped items that you'll often see floating on some isolated part of the map. Like upgrade materials commonly found in other Survival/RPG games, they're simultaneously easy and hard to miss — Juice Jems stick out like a sore thumb, but given the limited FOV, players will most likely miss a couple of Juice Jems while they're running around the map.
One early Juice Jem location is actually very close to the Crashpod. Just head south and stick to the edge of the traversible land. Keep following the shoreline, and you should be able to spot a Juice Jem floating above a small patch of land. If you're just starting out, you won't be able to reach it until you unlock the Popcork Dock blueprint. All you need to do to get it is speak with Maarlo in Haarlipol, which is just east of Graal's cabin.
There are multiple Juice Jems near the Crashpod and the cabin. One more location you can try is southeast of Graal's cabin. Again, you'll need Popcork Docks to reach this place. Look for a wooden platform jutting out from the land and into the water, and use that as a basis for your makeshift bridge. Run from the Snugglebuns, and break the trees surrounding the Juice Jem to get it.
Popcork Dock Recipe
- 7 Popbark
- 1 Popcork
- 1 Grumble Pebble
You can get these by breaking Popwood Trees and large rocks.
How to Use Juice Jems
To use a Juice Jem, open your inventory and navigate to the Infinisuit tab. Here, you'll see all the upgrades you can unlock using Juice Jems. Select one, then hold down the Infuse button. Doing so will consume the indicated amount of Jems, as is usually the case in similar RPG-style games.
As soon as you purchase at least one Infinisuit upgrade from any tier, you'll immediately unlock the next tier of upgrades. However, higher-tier upgrades require more Juice Jems. Keep your eyes peeled while you're exploring so you don't miss anything. You'll need all the Jems you can get.
Tips
- Always look for isolated islands and other small pockets of land off the beaten path.
- Always bring Popcork Docks.
- If the way is blocked, you can always use Popcork Docks to go around whatever's in your way.
