Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion has a unique mechanic in combat called the DMW (Digital Mind Wave). The DMW acts like a slot machine and is constantly running in the upper left-hand corner of the screen. This system is used for leveling up Zack, Materia, unleashing Limit Breaks, and Summons.

As players progress through the game, more characters will show up on the DMW slots as it randomly triggers effects. While some are unlocked through the story, others are acquired through optional quests. As a result many of the DMW characters can easily be missed. Here is how Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion players can unlock all DMW characters.

Phoenix is an optional Summon that players can only find during Chapter 8, but does not require players to complete a mission to obtain it. Shortly after arriving in Nibelheim, there is a young boy that players can talk to. He tells players about the Seven Wonders of Nibelheim. The first involves the well in the center of town where the water is suddenly turning red. After examining the well, players will unlock Phoenix.

How to Get Magic Pot

Of all the optional DMW characters, Magic Pot is the most difficult and complex one to acquire. Not only that, but it requires a great deal of preparation. Magic Pot is a rare enemy that can show up in certain missions. The missions that Magic Pots appear in are M2-2-6, M2-5-4, M2-5-5, M7-6-6, and M10-2-3.

Once a Magic Pot appears, players will need to cast spells/abilities or do certain amounts of damage as requested by the Magic Pot. One of the easier Magic Pots is the one that appears in M10-2-3 and asks players to cast Jump, Fira, Gravity, and Assault Twister. Magic Pots in the other missions will ask for things like Ultima and doing 99,999 damage. Regardless of which mission it is, once players satisfy the requirements of a Magic Pot, they will get it as a DMW character. Once players have all DMW characters they will get an achievement/trophy.
