Ahead of its upcoming launch across platforms on September 5, Bloober Team has given players another terrifying look at the horrific bosses and enemies of Cronos: The New Dawn in a brand-new Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025 trailer showcase. Cronos: The New Dawn is an original sci-fi horror IP that builds upon Bloober Team's success with the Silent Hill 2 remake, and audience hype for the fresh and bloody experience is continuing to rise.
Cronos: The New Dawn sees players jumping between the past, present, and future in search of lost souls that can be harvested in an attempt to prevent a massive catastrophe from destroying the Earth. Players must search barren environments crawling with mutated creatures, and the latest Gamescom trailer unveils even more grotesque creatures that will be fighting to end the players' pursuit of returning balance to the world in Cronos: The New Dawn.
Cronos: The New Dawn - A New Breed of Horror Gamescom 2025 Trailer
The latest trailer for Cronos: The New Dawn, cheekily titled "A New Breed of Horror," showcases a number of enemies that players will have to face in this sci-fi survival horror game. Enemies can use a Merge mechanic in Cronos: The New Dawn, which allows the creatures to mold themselves together and form even larger, more terrifying entities. Players are treated to a sneak peek at some of these grossly mutated enemy types, including a brief glimpse at a battle with a massive boss enemy with bulbous glowing pustules and a look at a gigantic monster that appears to be an amalgamation of dozens of limbs. The main protagonist can be seen utilizing different gun modifications to fight against the various enemy types, offering high-octane action-packed combat and a mix of sci-fi and body horror.
Since the first announcement trailer for Cronos: The New Dawn was released, audiences have been drawing heavy comparisons to games like Dead Space and Alien: Isolation. With the addition of time travel and zero gravity traversal, Cronos: The New Dawn looks to push itself beyond the limits of its predecessors, in the hope of establishing a name for itself.
Audiences continue to voice an appreciation for more sci-fi survival horror games, and the massive enemies, engaging mechanics, and atmospheric horrors of Cronos: The New Dawn could be just what fans of terrifying sci-fi experiences have been looking for. Cronos: The New Dawn is set to launch for Nintendo Switch 2, PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on September 5.
