Cult of the Lamb received a free DLC pack in August 2024 called Unholy Alliance. This content update introduced local co-op to Cult of the Lamb, which explains its title. Even though that was its main focus, there was more to this update. It also brought a highly-requested transmog system to Cult of the Lamb, allowing gamers to change the appearance of the Lamb's Fleeces, so they can take advantage of a Fleece's powers and stats but make it look like their preferred outfit.

It's strictly a cosmetic change, but many members of the Cult of the Lamb community were to hear that this feature had finally been added to the game. This guide will show players how the Cult of the Lamb transmog system works and how they can take advantage of it.

Transmog System Explained

There are over a dozen Fleeces in Cult of the Lamb; while some provide all sorts of useful abilities that players can use during their journey, others are simply cosmetic. This means that it's much more useful if gamers equip a Fleece with unique powers rather than wear a regular Fleece that doesn't provide any benefits even if it may be more visually appealing.

Unfortunately, sometimes fans prefer a Fleece's pattern or color-scheme but it doesn't benefit them in terms of its abilities, which makes it pointless for them to wear unless they were going to stay on the cult grounds. And even if they did this, they'd have to be constantly going back and forth to the Temple to change clothes. Thankfully, Unholy Alliance introduced fans to the transmog system, which allows fans to modify a Fleece's appearance in Cult of the Lamb and keep its powers.

For example, the transmog system allows players to play as the Goat in Cult of the Lamb by customizing their Fleece to appear this way while wearing another Fleece with abilities, such as the Cowboy.

How to Customize a Fleece

First, players have to head to the Temple and open the Crown menu at the altar. To customize a Fleece in Cult of the Lamb, players must select the Fleece with the preferred abilities, and then press the "Customize Fleece" option. Here, they can choose which Fleece they'd like it to look like.

Alternatively, gamers who want an extra challenge can do it the other way around; they can pick a Fleece with no abilities and customize to look like a Fleece with abilities, thus not benefiting from them at all.
