How to Mate Followers in Cult of the Lamb

To mate followers in Cult of the Lamb, you need to build the Mating Tent, select the desired followers, and spend one Sin. It sounds pretty simple, but there are a few preparations you need to make before you can do it.

First, you must get Sins of the Flesh content by performing a sermon. It will unlock rituals and new buildings for you, including the Mating Tent. In addition, you will also need a Drinkhouse or Drum Circle to cultivate sins in your followers.

Once you have built the Mating Tent, interact with it to select the two followers with the highest chance of mating. You can then choose which traits parents will pass on to their child. After this, the couple will have their private time, and as a result, you will receive an Egg. If you are lucky, there's a small chance you will get a Golden Egg instead of the regular one.

How To Hatch an Egg

When you unlock the Mating Tent, you will also unlock the Hatchery. As the name suggests, this is a structure in which players can hatch Eggs. However, this process is not quick. Once you place the Egg there, you will need to care for it until you can get a new member of your large cultist family.

It is worth noting that some players encountered a bug that prevented eggs from hatching. But you no longer have to worry about this, since the developers have released a patch to fix it. If you encounter such a bug, check to see whether your Cult of the Lamb is updated to the latest version.

Alternatively, you can crack the Egg instead of hatching it. Of course, this is quite cruel, but you are the God, and who will stop you? Cracking the egg will give you Egg Yolk, a valuable ingredient. A Golden Egg gives you five Yolks instead of one. This ingredient can be used for cooking. With its help, you can make dishes that reduce the age of your followers, so that you won't have to resurrect your favorite cultists using rituals.
