Gremlins 3 should only happen if a major 80’s director makes it.

Apparently Gremlins 3 is coming. I am all in on it if Joe Dante is coming back to direct, but if he can’t or won’t do it, they should get on of his peers. Before hiring a younger newer director, they should go after Chris Columbus, Steve Miner, or maybe Josh Olson. I think Gremlins needs a madcap old school sensibility and doesn’t need to be modernized in the same way most reboots do.
