Cyberpunk 2077 recently gave players a brand-new update with 2.3, introducing new vehicles, an AutoDrive feature, and an overhauled photo mode. Over the years, Cyberpunk 2077 has seen a long list of strong upgrades, and after 2.3, there are already questions about what a hypothetical 2.4 could have in store.

In the past, developer CD Projekt Red has made it seem as though major support for Cyberpunk 2077 is over, but 2.3 continues to show that the dev team still has some tricks up their sleeves. Since Cyberpunk 2077 is set to get a sequel, it would be understandable if CD Projekt Red wanted to fully step away from the game, but devs continue to release surprise updates, leading many to believe that a 2.4 patch is destined to happen. There are plenty of ways that 2.4 could upgrade the dystopian RPG, but one particular option could open the door to some fun over-the-top moments: bumping up V's RAM.

Cyberpunk 2077's 2.4 Update Could Be a Great Way to Introduce Some Wild Netrunner Builds

Putting Zero Limits on Cyberpunk 2077's RAM Stat

When considering all the possible Intelligence perks, upgrades, and various cyberware that players can add to V in Cyberpunk 2077, their RAM taps out at around 50. This definitely isn't anything to turn one's nose up at, and that alone can open up plenty of powerful Netrunner skills, but pushing that even further could be fascinating. It's not even certain that a 2.4 update for Cyberpunk 2077 will ever become reality, but pushing Netrunner builds to hit even more powerful highs may be an intriguing route to take.

Cyberpunk 2077 Going All-in on Edgerunners is a Big Missed Opportunity

Pulling off Quickhacks is one of the most satisfying things to do in Cyberpunk 2077, and playing the role of an ultra-overpowered Netrunner could bring forth a glorious amount of chaos. Of course, this would definitely make the game unbalanced, but for players who have been enjoying Cyberpunk 2077 since day one, this could be a great way to shake up the experience after five years.

In order to deal with the overpowered nature of taking a cap off RAM, this change could even be reserved for a New Game Plus mode. Even after five years, Cyberpunk 2077 doesn't have an official New Game Plus mode, and unlimited RAM upgrades would be a great reward for Netrunner players.

CD Projekt Red Shouldn't Let Its Cyberpunk 2077 2.3 'Disappointment' Impact Project Orion

CD Projekt Red is currently devoting most of its attention to The Witcher 4, while the Cyberpunk sequel officially began pre-production earlier this year.

The Future of Cyberpunk 2077 is Being Kept a Mystery

Right now, CD Projekt Red has yet to reveal what's in store next for the RPG. Devs have mentioned that hints at future Cyberpunk 2077 content have been hidden in past spin-offs, like comic books, but there's no telling which details are breadcrumbs or not. Even 2.3 ignited its own set of theories. After the update launched back in July, players quickly began to notice that in-game ads for a casino could be found throughout Night City. This has led many to believe that 2.4 could introduce a casino setting.

Royce in Cyberpunk 2077

CD Projekt Red first hinted at 2.3's Yaiba ARV-Q340 Semimaru vehicle in the comic spin-off Cyberpunk 2077: Kickdown.

Only time will tell if Cyberpunk 2077 adds a casino to Night City, but if so, that would make uncapped RAM that much more fun. Quickhacking slot machines, guards, and cameras has the potential to be a blast. Right now, all Cyberpunk 2077 players can do is wait and see if 2.4 ever becomes reality, and if it does, then it will be thrilling to find out what it's set to feature.
